Is it possible to remove a segment or find out who created it?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to see who created a segment or how to report a segment to strava. The reason being, someone is using strava segments as a means of harassment and very childish behaviour by naming a run in such a way that it causes members of my running club upset. Very poor behaviour from someone in the running community.

  • You can flag (report) a segment. Strava team will handle the reports.

  • Find out who created it and more importantly when.

  • Same, in NYC area we're starting to see segment names which are... politically motivated.

Tried flagging it with detail, suggesting a more accurate name, and nearly immediate Strava reply was:

Thanks for writing in and we appreciate your feedback on this segment name. Segments are a community created/moderated feature on Strava, anyone can create a segment and this means that they will sometimes unknowingly create segments with incorrect spelling, or inaccurate location names. Editing this information has become labor intensive for our small support team so we are looking into ways that the community can help improve the segment experience.

We do have a way for the community to up and down vote segments using the star and hide features. You will always be shown segments that you have created, starred, unhidden or set a goal on. If you have a strong preference for one segment over another, they you can indicate that preference by starring it. We factor the total number of segment 'stars' into our algorithm as well, so you'll be helping us serve better segments to the entire community.

Other than a canned email response, where they then marked ticket as "Solved" - anyone have better luck with results?
