  • Filter out rides less than X miles
  • Filter out Virtual Rides/Zwift
  • Sort by number of Kudos, ascending
  • Sort by number of Comments
  • Filter for Grouped activities
  • Filter by Activity Type

  • +1 filtering commutes.  strava, can we get a timeline update please?  (how hard can it be?)

  • Hello?  Anybody there? Looks like it's coming up on 3 years since the first suggestion, any progress at all?  Update please Elle?

  • +1 to this suggestion. Especially for filtering commutes. I want to log them but it's spam on both my activity feed and the activity feed (and emails) of anyone following me.

What does the current commute tag even do? I can't find any filtering option to isolate my commutes.

  • Please, please, please, allow challenges from other people to be configurably removed from my timeline. There's more challenge activity than actual activity.

  • hi chris, don't hold your breathe for strava, happily though stravistiX does this: http://bit.ly/1JXKOso

  • I would like to be able to catogorize or group those I follow by creating my personal groups which I then could filter in the activity feed. I could then group those I work with in one group. Close friends in one group. Selebreties in one group and so on.
Clubs are not the same, as people have to join them.
So when I select Activity feed I would then like to chose My activities, Following, FollowGroup work, FollowGroup Selebs, FollowGroup Family and so on.

  • Why filter out commutes. I would like to see only commutes filtering all else out. I use commutes as part of my training schedule.

  • Hide commutes by default from the feed, except one's own. Default can be changed in settings.

  • Ridiculous that this hasn't been actioned yet.

Has nothing happened because of the scope of the change? (There are a lot of filtering options suggested)

I only want to filter out rides marked as a commute! How about taking that on, one part at a time!

  • Do commutes still show in the Activity Feed for followers? I'm new to this and have been marking my short commutes to private but just realized I'm not getting any credit for them

  • Add a filter to sort your friends (without being in a group) , so it will be easier to follow on the flow only who we want....

  • Yes, would be really nice to get rid of the challenges flooding my dashboard. It's annoying when people subscribe to more challenges than they have activities. I'd like to see pure activities only.

  • Please, please, please allow me to only see my activities as a default view.

  • Why the snobbery about daily commutes? We're not all out sports merchants, some of like to just see how far we've been and try and better our times etc.

  • I don't think there's any snobbery here.  The proposal is only that Strava provide the *option* to filter out commutes and other things.  If you follow more than just a few people, this feature really becomes necessary if you want to notice when one of your friends does an unusual ride.  The number of challenges and everyday rides that fill up your feed in one day will push the interesting activities that you would have liked to notice down into history.  Of course you may want to see your own commutes to track your training, and maybe even other's.  The proposal is only to add the option...

Over three years now for this thread, Strava.  This isn't that hard.

  • Would really like to echo and add to some of the comments made above regarding Private Rides.

    I would like to:

    1) Mark rides as private but still have them contribute to stats etc

    2) Filter private rides from my own feed

    Also, not related to Privacy....

    3) Filter out my friends Running activities

    3) Filter out commutes from both myself and friends

    Cheers.

  • It looks like it would be covered by an "Activity Type" filter, but I'd like to make sure "Zwift" activities can be filtered from the feed.  Looking at some they seem to be tagged as "Virtual Ride" but I just wanted to make sure whatever solution *eventually* is developed includes that.

  • BTW, you can use AdBlock Plus to filter some of this in your browser.  For example, to (currently) remove challenges from my feed I use the rule: strava.com##.challenge.feed-entry

  • Yes please. I am tired of my feed being full of Zwift, I would love to be able to filter out trainer rides and Zwift.

  • stravistix 3.2.0 released this morning now also allows filtering of rides and runs of < x km.

  • While I appreciate cyclists like to track every miles or KM on the bike it does lead to a noisy newsfeed for followers of this person. I'm mostly interested in cycles of interest (i.e. training, long spins..etc.) and not a round trip 5 mile commute daily. Would it be possible to add a filter out button based on distance? I think this would be better than filtering commutes because some cyclists might not tag their cycle as commute. This is obviously a brilliant app for cyclists/runners that want to track proper progress but let's prioritize and ensure that it's original intent is front and centre. We need a mechanism of filtering out the junk stuff.

  • Most people want to filter out commutes, I want to be able to list ONLY commutes.

We have a commute challenge going on in our club, so would be cool to be able to list commutes only, based on the club settings of course.

  • filter out rides less than X miles would be great!

I've unfollowed lots of people bc they were doing tons of small rides every day, while I'm only interested in seeing people's training.

  • +1 on filtering commutes, way too much noise.

I don't blame some of my friends for wanting to track all their rides so they can have an accurate "total mileage" number, but I don't want to see every 2KM ride to the grocery store.

  • did something happen to this request?

It would be helpful to have this as a global setting. I am looking especially forward to see:

    - no commute rides

    - no rides less than x miles

    - no set goal for this month

    - only my favourite following people

global instead of the drop down would be very efficient
