  • This is just beyond crazy. I'm a long time Strava user and recent convert to Summit...it's really annoying that my Garmin data (and literally everything else about my life) uses a Sunday - Saturday calendar, and I can't simply toggle a button to change my Strava to match. What good is a Strava training plan if I can't see each day's detail until the day after I intended to follow it?

  • Good evening, to tie in with plans and other Apps, please provide the option to start the week on a Sunday.

    Thank you in anticipation.

  • Well, it has been since 2012 that hundreds of Strava users have requested this and literally there is no response whatsoever. I am not generally prone to paranoia, however after 8 years I get the feeling that Strava doesn't like us.

I mean a simple "yes", "no", or "we are considering it" would go a long way toward convinving me to pay for the premium membership again. I might even possibly start recommend Strava again. But, all we get is ignorance and silence.

  • To be fair, there has been some Strava response, but nothing in this forum since Elle on 2014-09-15, and that was just a marketing-speak statement acknowledging the issue. It is clear that Strava does not care about it.

  • Users have been asking for this feature for ten years. I think it’s time.

  • Yeah, this thread shows 8 years of requesting the most basic update while getting emails from Strava “we’ve listened and made 100’s of enhancements in 2020” Doesn’t seem like they are actually listening. I asked direct how to get the the day start on sun and they just linked me to this post, so I felt obliged to bitch.

I thought for the longest time I just couldn’t find the setting but apparently was confusing with garmin.

I like the strava community, but this dumb shit is going to put me on full time garmin. Perfect timing as my summit subscription is just about up.

Ps Strava. Have you looked at a calendar? There is a reason all other apps start Sunday. BECAUSE THAT IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK. !!!!

Pull Strava head of of the sand please

  • Why does Strava not listen to its users?
I think I’m going to MAP MY RIDE, I think their app is friendly and their engineers listen to what the users WANT...
It’s simple good customer service or bad customer service, that’s the bottom line...

  • Yeah I left these idiots for ride with GPS over a year ago. Their complete don't give a damn attitude caused me to cancel my paid subscription.

  • I just put my $50/year with Ride with GPS for course creation — can’t support a company (Strava) with such poor customer service.  Gotta like and respect my cycling community!  Hoping that Garmin (Connect) will improve their  mapping/routes offering over the next year, then I’ll stick with just them.

  • I too wish to start my week on a Sunday, I know the ISO standard sets Monday as the start day, but I wish to align to the conventions of my country, but with the lack of response to this sort of most basic request, as well as many other basic suggestions. Add in the recent changes to free and subscription accounts its easy to see that Strava will soon be out of business. Vote with your credit card, Garmin Connect does everything I need. Bye Bye Strava.

  • Stumbled upon this 8yr old request submitted to let athletes change the start of the week to Sunday. No action from Strava. Just like everyone else I see a mismatch in stats when I compare the training logs imported from other fitness tracker. Strava needs to give an option to the athletes to change the start of the week as per their country or region. Subscribing for monthly or annual membership with a mismatch in data is pointless. This basic discrepancy has led to so much of disappointment and yet Strava has no answer to it.

  • I can't believe it's been 8 years and a simple request like this hasn't been changed. Multiple software developers have offered to help if Strava thinks it's too difficult which it isn't. Imagine if a company like Apple or Microsoft had such terrible customer service.

  • Wow, people have been requesting this change since 2012. Sunday is the start of the week in the USA, at least please give the option to choose what day we want to start our week, as Garmin does. I see a note at the top of these comments saying “not planned “. I must ask, why not?

  • Has there been ANY movement on this issue in the last four years? As a paid member of the workforce, my working week starts on a Sunday; I would like to be able to incorporate that into my workouts. Imagine my shock when I was unable to do this "simple" task on STRAVA!

The short answer is "no" -- and it's been 8 years. :(
