Record activity temperature with the app

I just have purchased Wahoo TICKR HRM and Wahoo RPM Cadence Sensor from your site to expand my Cycling experience and i m starting to enjoy the data analysis.

I really thing that the one thing missing from the Strava APP (using on Android on my Samsung Galaxy Note III N9005) is the Temperature logging.

Its really the one thing missing in comparison eg to logging from Garmin 810 analysis and i will be very happy to see it.

Please consider to add it!

  • I think ambient temp and humidity has an impact on training, so I would like to see this too.

  • Well it would be a dream to also have humidity, the thing is that unfortunately a don't see any response on that direction from Strava...

  • It would be great to just pull in the local weather information. There must be tons of APIs for this as many other apps do it automatically (e.g. DayOne or GarminConnect). Adding temperature is more important than humidity or wind direction but "weather" integration seems like pretty low hanging fruit.  If you can successfully add photos (which I'll admit that I like), it seems like weather is easier and more important for the athletes you have as your user base.

  • agreed! can't be more than a few lines of code, since nearly all smartphones have temperature sensors for both ambient temperature and humidity.

Or at least support Bluetooth LE sensors that supply this kind of information like the WeatherHawk myBlue-T or similar.

  • The frustration is not with measuring or recording the temperature; it is with the presentation of it. Temperature data that was measured, recorded and uploaded, which is available from the Strava web site with a desktop browser, is filtered out when the Strava mobile app is used. It is blocked even when the Strava web site is accessed by a mobile browser (Chrome on Android, anyway), and even when the 'desktop display' option is selected.

  • When I do skitouring, lets says in march, the temperature in early morning is for example -10° (starting at 1600 metres above see level). 30min later, when the sun rises, we have 5° and when returning from the summit, it can bee 20°. Most Units track this data. Why can I not see it on strava (this would be only one additional column, or a descrete flag above the altitude chart…

  • Please add temperature logging to the Android App. The Edge 520 has a temp sensor, and you can also by the Garmin Tempe, which gives an accurate reading. Thanks!
