The Year in Sport video is a personalized recap video for Strava members that highlights fun data insights, meaningful social engagements and stand-out moments from the past twelve months. See your biggest achievements, best memories and data highlights of 2018.
Why can't I create my video?
You must have uploaded at least three GPS-based activities on Strava in 2018 to generate a video. The longest distance scene also requires that one of those three GPS activities must be a ride, run or swim.
Why does my video show different totals than my profile page?
If your profile and End of Year video do not show the same running or biking statistics please go ahead and refresh your profile stats. The displayed total may have previously been inaccurate due to a previous bug where deleted, cropped, or updated activities did not refresh the profile stats.
To recalculate your profile statistics please access your account on the Strava website using a computer. On your profile page, scroll down to My Stats where underneath you will be able to click "Refresh Stats". After clicking 'Refresh Stats' the button may appear greyed out, this means the system is refreshing.
Why does my video show different statistics than my friend's?
The Year in Sport video is highly personalized in hopes of providing the most meaningful insights for each athlete. Your scenes and stats are shown based on the activities you upload, the amount of data on your profile, your preferred sport on the platform, etc.
Which activities are included in the final total distance?
The total distance is the sum of all activities on Strava and includes ones that do not appear in your profile totals. You’ll see a breakdown of each sport and then the total amount, including public, private and virtual activities that you uploaded in 2018. You can recreate your Strava Film after 24 hours to reflect any new activities.
Can I download my video?
Yes, you can download your video and share it on other social media platforms like Instagram.
