Suunto devices not recognized

Suunto Movescount updated the activity files that are synced to Strava starting the 9th of September. The device models are not being recognized by our upload parser.

As a workaround, you can export a TCX version of your activity from Movescount and upload it manually. This will properly recognize the device and barometric altimeter data.

We are working with Suunto to resolve the issue. For more detailed information, please follow this post.

  • 9/22 UPDATE: Activities synced from Movescount should be recognized as 'Suunto' devices. Also, barometric altimeter data and device distance will be displayed if it is in the file. We are still working on getting all of the different device information from Suunto so the model appears properly.
