How to upload Nike+ activities to Strava

At this time, there is no official sync service between Nike and Strava, however, there are a number of 3rd party solutions built by developers using the Strava API. Here are some sync services recommended by our community:

  • Hey guys, thanks to the help of Paul I was able to get my old tool working again. If you want to take it for a spin: https://nike.vinz.xyz – Let me know how it worked out, only had a limited amount of Nike accounts to test it with.

  • So it's 2018 and there is still no direct integration between Nike Run Club and Strava. Besides the default Apple Watch workout app, Nike Run Club is probably the most used workout tracking app.

  • Agreed, i've tried all of the websites and hacks I can find this morning and none of them are able to access my Nike account. Hopefully someone smart will find a hack around it soon...

  • I use (https://nike.bullrot.net) to import all my races from nike + to strava.
unfortunately the pace is not correct and gives false statistics.
    What's the problem ?

  • Vincent G - thank you! I was using Matt Stuehler's site until it stopped working and your website http://nike.vinz.xyz has saved my Nike watch from becoming a useless wristwatch... Now I can export straight to Strava again. Brilliant :)
Jérémy - thank you also for your website http://www.jeremycoelho.fr/projets/nike-exporter/#/ - it's very useful to be able to export and download the GPX files so easily.

  • Vincent, I really miss syncing of heart rate data form Nike to Strava. When do you plan to implement it?

  • hi there,

as mentioned before, the import of your nike+-data with rungap works - like a charme! the sync-option will cost you about 2,29 euro in the app-store, but: 1) that is in fact "no price" and 2) it will save you a lot of time (we're talking about a 5-minute-job for the import of all data). luckily kerry freeman gives a detailed instruction on her blog: https://kerryfreeman.co.uk/category/running/

    cheers,

    markus

  • Hi Vincent, great job with the transfer! So easy to use, I wish I'd known Nike was locked down when I started. My total mileage is slightly different (not enough to worry about) but stranger is the difference in the km splits. As an example, according to the Nike app my run a couple of days ago went 4'52, 4'15, 4'47, 4'39 but now it's in Strava it's 4'26, 4'43, 5'01, 4'49. It was 12k and every one was different and over 10k Nike says 47'20, Strava 49.06! Any ideas? I tried Jeremy's import and that gave the same data. Have you - or Strava - any ideas on why there would be such a big difference when it's the same source data? Cheers!

  • Mouhssine R's method works for ios users, I just couldn't import the file from my phone into strava.

sync from Nike+ to RunGap app
RunGap app, save that run to dropbox
unzip file in dropbox, look for the tcx file

Unfortunately from here you need to use the desktop version of Strava, as I can't find a way to import that tcx file into the app.

On Strava website, click + upload activity in upper right hand corner
    choose that tcx file.
    Done

    And this method is free.

Bummed about Nike+ Exporter too, I've used for quite a while (and paid too).

  • Paul - tool seems to work great to export runs from Nike+, but it's getting my splits incorrect for most of my runs. I understand that there's a slight difference in how Nike+ and Strava report GPS data points, but on a lot of the runs I've checked, the splits are off by sometimes up to two minutes. The average pace and total time and distances are very accurate (sometimes differing ever so slightly I'm sure due to the discrepancies in how they report data), but any thoughts on why my splits are wildly inaccurate? I can provide more info on specific runs if needed.

    Thank you!

  • Strava really needs to get this fixed. I'm going to have to quit using Strava because I have no history. So annoying that I can't sync this data.

  • I had the same problem with the sync tool http://nike.vinz.xyz.
I sync with Smashrun and after that Settings/Export. Received mail. Open Strava and add with "Upload and Sync Your Activities". Choose file and Bum!

    Thanks
    Bye

  • Hey guys, unfortunately the Nike login stopped working. It's definitely on Nike's end, so no idea if it will ever get resolved. I've looked around but did not find another way to securely authenticate users with Nike's systems.. The same issue already happened a few months ago and solved itself after a couple weeks, definitely no idea if it'll be the case again this time.
I'll keep looking, but so far I have no idea how to circumvent this issue.

  • HealthFit does pull GPS routes from the Workout/Activity apps. Make sure you’ve set your permissions correctly.

  • I've been using http://nike.vinz.xyz and it's been working great, but my most recent run isn't showing up. The last run I exported was on Jan 3, but today's just isn't there. Has anyone else had issues in the last few days? Hopefully NIke hasn't removed access.

  • I used Adam's recommendation to use SmashRun. Worked like a charm! I'll need to think twice about using Nike+ though.

  • Forget Nike+ and start using Strava directly ;-)
Nike+ does consume less battery than Strava or Runkeeper, but it's less accurate. And

  • I've just tried the "Sync Smashrun with Nike+, Then use tapiriik to sync Smashrun with Strava" option and so far is the best solution I've found. At least the GPS data is coming across which it doesn't with solutions such as Rungap. I'll have the analyse the 10 second internal issue.

I use an Apple Watch 2 for running and I've found Nike+ to have better GPS tracking than the AW2 Strava App, I also prefer the Voice Over. So ideally use Nike + to Record and send to Strava which I've used for years for Cycling too. Of course Strava could just make the AW2 App better and that solves any sync issues ;-)
