Can I undo or delete Kudos?

There is no way to "undo" or take back Kudos at this time. Sorry for the trouble.

  • Since Strava is not listening the wish of the community for all this years we may start a "No Kudos strike"! :) :) :)

  • How hard would it be to create an "edit" or "undo" on Kudo's and comments for us Premium users? Please?

  • Ha Aaron. That's the funniest thing I've heard so far on this long running thread... 'apologizing for accidental kudo'!

  • Please add the ability to remove a kudos. As others have said it is easy to do accidentally when scrolling on a phone.

  • PLEASE, PLEASE provide an “undo kudos” facility. It seems to be a rather simple thing to provide, and I cannot understand why it has not implemented. I Gave kudos to what I thought was a normal bike ride, which turned out to be on a e-bike.

  • ARgghhh! I've done it again, gone and gave Kudos by mistake, and no way to undo. GRRRRRR!

  • This makes no sense. The percentage of people who would actually un-kudo has to be tiny. I've only had it happen once or twice that I can remember. Unfortunately the first time I wanted to do this was also when I got stuck on this thread. I agree with Strava that most of the time it is a pretty small thing and doesn't really matter but every now and then there are real reasons for wanting to un-do. I guess the only real option at this point is to delete the account which gave the kudo and create a new one. This is a pretty stupid workaround and I'm not even sure if that is enough.

It would be so nice to just have this trivial feature added so we can move on. Pretty much every other social network accepts that it is okay to have people remove likes. Please Strava add this basic feature.

  • Pls add a 'remove kudos' option, Strava. It's time...

  • Gave kudos for a ride that was flagged. Buddy obviously got in his car with his Strava still tracking. Shouldn't get kudos, and I look like an idiot. Let me undo.

  • I cannot believe Strava does not have a method of removing a Kudos. This seems like an easy fix!! I accidentally gave a kudos to someone and have no way of removing it. Minor League programming. Please fix this!!!!!

  • Seriously though- why can't we undo them?? It makes no sense.

  • I accidentally gave kudos to a friend of a friend, who I don’t know myself, for an activity they did years ago. I feel mortified and would like to undo it. Please facilitate and introduce this feature.

  • Yea it's pretty obvious that Strava doesn't give a crap about the opinion of their customers. Stop paying for features (golden cheetah has them beat in the metrics arena anyway) and downvote the app. That's all you can do.

  • Still no undo button? Put up some pressure in the dev lab. Thanks

  • 5 years people have been asking about this really simple change that's evidently important to some. This attitude is why I don't bother subscribing to Strava

  • Just done same.. Did a Google on & it brought me to this thread, which has at least reassured me I'm not the only one to have made this embarrassing digital gaff!! Grrr. Someone I was just simply randomly curious about, but neither know or admire. Damn! Incredibly easy button to tap by accident being on right of screen & leave a permanent mark behind, but then I suppose, to be fair, the clever boffins at Strava never entertained the rising incidence of 'mis-kudosing' by nosey - oops, I mean seeking inspiration! - athletes! However, 'undo' button please, nice Strava people! :-)

  • What's wrong with extra kudos!??  I'd be happy to have see an unexpected kudos on my feed... random acts of kindness?  Don't get wrapped up in just being "too nice", never regret being too nice!

  • It used to be possible by just clicking on the thumb again.  Why did you take this feature away and PLEASE bring it back.

  • It's appalling that the given solution is, "There is no way to..." — when this is the exact deal-breaker that disillusioned and alienated us in the first place. For every user taking time to comment on this thread, there must be thousands equally infuriated but without enough confidence in the system to bother writing. I hope a simple fix comes before any further boycott of users.

  • Ya... Funny. I fumbled-clicked another yesterday and wished I could un-do it. This one was no big deal for me but WHY ON EARTH CAN'T STRAVA IMPLEMENT THIS BASIC FEATURE? Facebook has it. Twitter has it. Is this political or corporate greed / desperation motivated? What is the real story? Can anyone who works for Strava tell us what is going on? A little toggle button is not that big of a deal to implement on today's Internet. Seriously please add this. I've paid you guys plenty...

  • It used to be possible to do just by clicking the thumb (now orange) again (turns back to gray).  PLEASE bring back this simple functionality!

  • As Strava is completely ignoring this request literally since years, without even commenting in a way that would make it at least a try to explain, my take here is the following:

Someone inside Strava marketing / product management had the stupid idea to take the accumulated figure of Kudos added in Strava as a kind of KPI for the platform's success. So allowing Kudos to be removed would hurt their defined "success" KPI, that unfortunately collides with a minor customer satisfaction issue. But sales/success KPI overrules customer satisfaction. Stupid, but perhaps not fully fictional explanation ... ...

  • ^ ^ That

    Mark Holliday...yes!

"You are about to give kudos to [name]. Giving kudos on Strava a permanent action--i.e. it is un-doable. Do you wish to proceed? Yes/

  • I raise again this point, just gave an "unvoluntary" kudos on an activity that I've opened from a segment view, in the desktop website. This could actually be embarassing... And I don't see how this feature can be complex to implement, compared to other very nice features Strava offers. So must be a design choice... but why?

I would suggest that when we click on "our thumbs up" and we open the popup/page that lists all other's kudos, we get a button to undo our choice.

  • Does it really matter? I get random kudos occasionally, probably because of someone else's fat fingers. It only has meaning if you give it meaning. And if you give a kudo by mistake, just move on. Life is too short to get bent out of shape about tiny problems.

  • Hey, Strava! I've been following this thread for nearly three years now, since I first posted about the issue.
It's really unbelievable to see comments and traffic to this question for three years, with nothing being done on your part to make changes. And now, with people (including myself) paying for your service, it's truly a disservice to us all.
There hasn't been an official Strava response to this thread since 2014. Will you follow up please?
