Was reading a comment where someone called my friend a bitch and I accidentally tapped Kudos on his activity. Should be obvious why I'd want to "undo" the kudos, he's a sexist jerk.
It's appalling that the given solution is, "There is no way to..." — when this is the exact deal-breaker that disillusioned and alienated us in the first place. For every user taking time to comment on this thread, there must be thousands equally infuriated but without enough confidence in the system to bother writing. I hope a simple fix comes before any further boycott of users.
With all of the recent subscription updates, I came back to check on the handful of basic issues like this one that customers have been asking for for years. None of them have been addressed - this is the reason why I won't pay for a subscription.
Yea I dropped my membership over this and a few other bad behaviour items by strava. Attacking Relive was the last straw for me. Have decided to put my money into a open community strava replacement project and leetch off of strava until that is ready. I don't need the extra feature, I can get better and for free from golden cheetah and elevate.
Given the time/length of this thread it's obvious that strava DNGAF about their users. We are the product. We are cattle to them.
Does it really matter? I get random kudos occasionally, probably because of someone else's fat fingers. It only has meaning if you give it meaning. And if you give a kudo by mistake, just move on. Life is too short to get bent out of shape about tiny problems.
Elle, thanks for the answer, but I think you can gather that it's a simple feature that many people would like. Why the reluctance to add "kudos undo"?
Hey, Strava! I've been following this thread for nearly three years now, since I first posted about the issue.
It's really unbelievable to see comments and traffic to this question for three years, with nothing being done on your part to make changes. And now, with people (including myself) paying for your service, it's truly a disservice to us all.
There hasn't been an official Strava response to this thread since 2014. Will you follow up please?
I just gave kudos to an impressive looking ride that claimed space on several prominent leaderboards. I just discovered that it was done on an e-bike, and I really, really do NOT want e-bike riders to be cluttering up leaderboards with false results, much less being someone who apparently supports and applauds this dishonesty!!
Bolocks!, Strava's developer needs to listen to the users here. Clearly we dont want this idiotic functionality. Its not a "good morning" its the same as "liking" and if im navigating on a touchscreen interface unintended clicks can cause an unintended "like" of an activity. I have never heard a lamer explanation in my life.. No this is a full stop, will not renew my pro account bug if not fixed.
I can't understand why this can't be allowed. Nor why Strava don't give their rational/justification for it.
Perhaps some clever clogs will work out how to intercept the kudos message inside Strava (do the job for them), I'll be happier to not have the ability to give kudo rather than not be able to take it back when done inadvertently.
I was woken at 3am by some stranger giving me Strava kudos, I assume a mistake my him. And peevingly in my sleepy state I gave him one back - the last this I wanted to do.
Nor do I want to give a thumb's up to idiots, show-off, aggressors, dictators, rude people, ...
Strava's power and influence is in the social part of the broader Strava community. On the app, I can't see who's given kudos without clicking kudos. Get what's happening there...
To see who's given another user kudos, I need to click Kudos, and the app gives them kudos, and I didn't want to give them kudos, but I can't un-kudos them, so I can't be social and see without giving kudos. Your product manager, (insert the your accountable product manager here) forces me to give kudos to see that list. This part of your solution sucks!
See how that is crap, Mr/Ms. Strava app/website product manager? This is to you, specifically.
Can't quite believe that the original question was asked over 4 years ago!!! Shocking that Strava haven't addressed this issue. I gave Kudos to a friend and afterwards realised an ex had also given Kudos (didn't know they were friends), ended up having to Block him and change my name on Strava. Surely it's a very simple process by Strava. Thinking of leaving Strava now and certainly won't recommend to friends.
I do not believe that for four years people ask for the undo feature and Strava didn't do it yet, this is not a good relationship between Strava and the athletics users
Amusingly Strava have introduced new and exciting ways to give kudos across many social media platforms, but you still can’t undo a kudos given in error, despite assurances I was given by direct from an employee, go premium what’s the point, Strava it’s time to act on this!

It used to be possible by just clicking on the thumb again. Why did you take this feature away and PLEASE bring it back.
Same thing...Fix it ,please. Accidentally given kudos

^ ^ That
Mark Holliday...yes!
"You are about to give kudos to [name]. Giving kudos on Strava a permanent action--i.e. it is un-doable. Do you wish to proceed? Yes/
Jeff
Can you please just set it up so that we can press on the thumb again to undo the unintentional kudos?
+1. I'd like to be able to remove a like or kudos.

Plenty of people want it so why not put it back?

It should be possible to withdraw Kudos. It can be accidentally given or discovered that it is undeserved.

Strava, you've had enough time to fix this. I've clicked on plenty of useless updates of yours; why not make this your next one?
Yes, please, another request for unkudosing!

So I’ve had an email about all these new features I use on Strava but we still can’t do the one thing we all want! C’mon Strava get your act together!

Still not possible to undo kudos? unbelievable!
More than 6 years later...
Let's see if they start banning people for commenting on this thread. :)
Lost my marriage because I couldn't unkudos. Please add
How this isn’t possible is unbelievable! Really pushing forward with some functionality and absolutely amateur with this!
