Syncing Issues with Strava app for Galaxy Devices (v1.5.12)

UPDATE: The 1.5.12 update resolved a crash affecting first generation Galaxy watches. We are still working on a resolution for the activity sync issue. We hope to address this in the next release.

UPDATE: The 1.5.4 app release is causing issues syncing activities from the watch app to your Strava account. Another update will be released to resolve activity sync issues. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE: Version 1.5.0 is now available in the Galaxy Store. Please update your app to resolve the crash issues with the previous 1.4.3 release.

UPDATE: There is a small group of athletes experiencing the app crashing when opening the 1.4.3 update. We are working on another version to resolve the issue.

We are aware of the stability issues caused by the June 10th 2020 (1.3.8 version) release of the Strava app for Galaxy devices. Issues include:

  • App crashing during launch
  • 'Activity not long enough' error when saving activity

As a temporary workaround, please record your activities using the Strava mobile app or link and record using the Samsung Health app integration (available for Android devices only). 

We are preparing an update to resolve the issues and will be releasing it as soon as possible.
