Strava to Training Peaks

I would like to be able to use strava from my phone to record workouts and upload direct to training peaks. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

Andy

  • I'd pay for a premium service if it supported automatic syncing to training peaks. As is, my Peloton workouts are trapped on Strava.

  • Yea, I would like to be able to do this as well. It's going to be a faff to upload to both and I need to use Training Peaks

  • I want to add my voice to this. I am a Premium Strava user. Integration. With Training Peaks would add great value for me (manual file transfers is not what Strava is about). Please take this formal request seriously.

  • I would love to see Training Peaks and Strava integrate. My fitness coach, like most, is setting my plan in TP. I prefer Strava, but the manual exports are painful and time consuming. I hate the fact I am having to consider stopping using Strava and moving to Garmin for this. I want to stay on Strava!!!!

  • How many comments do you need before you add this feature? I am about to leave Strava because my coach is using training peaks and i have so many more options with my Apple Watch that will sync with Trainingpeaks. Please get on board with this or you may lose a lot of paying customers.

  • Yeah what the f*** Strava? Get it together. A simple API from Strava to Training Peaks can't be that difficult to build.

  • Please consider this as my vote for this too. Strava make it happen.

  • Yes, this is clearly a much demanded feature that Strava is choosing to blatantly ignore (how many posts since their response in 2017?!). Perhaps they see Training Peaks as a competitor to Strava Summit so they're TRYING to create as much user fiction as possible? That seems like the only plausible answer to me. There certainly is no reason Strava can't do for it's paid users what tapiriik.com does for free.

Poor form Strava. No kudos for you!

  • Been waiting on this for almost 2 years what is the real issue there are so many tri athletes on your site and majority use TP as well as the coaches look at all the great PR you would get from completing this sync?

Thanks for the request for a Strava feature to sync data over to Training Peaks - Something we'll consider. This project is not planned, or considered for future planning at this time, sorry to say. I think more community support for this request would help, so I hope that others find and contribute to this thread as well.

On the topic of tapiriik, I may not be much help. The creator, @tapiriik (aka Collin Fair) may be able to shed some light as to why the Strava > TrainingPeaks sync is unreliable at the moment.

You can always manually export an activity file from Strava and import to TrainingPeaks. If you need some help learning how to do this, let us know.

I wish there was more we could do, and of course we appreciate the feedback. Please understand we have a lot of great projects planned currently, and would love to consider this request at a later time

  • I downloaded the HelthFit app on my iPhone so now I can use Strava on my Apple watch and it syncs with Training Peaks.  It's not Strava direct to TP, but it works.

  • I just signed up with CTS because of the Strava training plans. I wanted a little more help. They use TrainingPeaks. Can it possibly be true that Strava does not integrate directly with TrainingPeaks?

  • This is so damn annoying... I’m trying to do it through linking everything to polar flow/beat... but it’s not sending info to Strava...

  • would also love to see strava add the ability to sync to training peaks - wasting too much time figuring out how to do it already

  • +1 to all of the above.  TP syncing is a must-have.

  • Obviously Strava and training peaks leadership are in a pissing match because someone wants something ($$$) for this integration. This should have been included in the service offering long ago as there is plenty of demand to justify the development time. I wish the community could be provided an update to this as to if it will ever happen or why the real holdup.

  • i will definitely not be renewing my strava account if this cant be fixed. Training Peaks offers so much more info. Shame i wasted all these years with Strava

  • It seems like people have been requesting that training peaks and Strava would link together for years. Not sure why you are not making this happen. I love Strava, but I will find a new app because all triathlon data goes through TrainingPeaks

  • I just got rid of my premium subscription for this (and other) reasons. I doubt anything will change as long as they're making money and still have a strong base of users. It's unfortunate.

  • Checking up on this,  2017 was a long time ago for the official response.

  • I add my premium member vote for a Strava to Training Peaks auto sync feature.

Hmm, we should make a Strava Support Request for this.

  • Frustrating how Strava does not support this need. Would be nice if a third party app could do this, who like to support their customers.

  • What I've been doing is using Wahoo for my road rides and rows (sending the data to both TrainingPeaks and Strava using my Elemnt), and for indoor rides I use Zwift and Trainerroad to send the data to both places. For indoor rowing I use ergdata to send data to both places.

  • Someone at Strava...please create a way to move data to training peaks! How is this so hard to get done? Your customers have been asking for this for years.

  • Completely agree - its ridiculous that this integration doesnt occur.  Hell, make it a premium only feature so i have to pay for it...i would

  • I've been a premium user for several years but I've cancelled now, the analysis etc is all available elsewhere and features like this are not provided as Strava try to corner a market they do not yet service.  Oh and the subs went up?

Of course I'll still use the leaderboards though but no doubt they will be paywall too before long.

  • I'm baffled that Strava doesn't sync with TrainingPeaks. My Wahoo does this out of the box. However, I use Strava to track my running, and I would like to have that sync with TP, too. I will probably switch to Garmin or something for running, because what's the point of recording on Strava if you can't link sensors directly to the app?

It seems like Strava is no longer concerned with being a tool for tracking fitness. It just wants to be another social network.

  • It's because strava dosent support training peaks (totally agree with the social network comment) that I record everything on Wahoo. Wahoo links to both strava and Training Peaks. I personally find as a tool to track and measure fittness Training peaks can not be beaten, I use strava as a way of seeing what my friends are up to and share with them what I'm doing.
Wahoo becomes the link between the 2, and it is also a good tool to record activitys on, in my opinion gives you much better real time stats than strava when recording via phone, and from there you can link your data to most if not all your fittness apps automatically after you finish recording.
