Segments not appearing in Route Builder

When using the route builder it's only showing some of the segments in the area. There are complete trail systems that are missing from the map! I just want all the trails and segments to show up in route builder!

  • Hilari,

The segment feature in the Route Builder works the same as the Segment Explore. It shows a limited number of segments at one time, and more popular segments are prioritized first. However, if you zoom in you should see more segments.

I understand that this may mean that you cannot see some segments in the Route Builder, and I'll be sure to document this feedback to consider in the future.

  • No matter how far I zoom in or move the map they don't appear.

  • I have the same problems. Even my best winning climbs were on the vanishing segments.

  • I've got the same problem in Germany since a few weeks.

  • This doesn't explain why I'm missing some well-known segments when I go to explore the map. An area which once had many segments, now shows none. What's up with this?

  • I can not see segments too. Only one show in area. I want all segments if I zoom in

  • I have the same problem. I'd like to know, if this is some error or some new safety measure.

  • I am having the same issue, even segments that I have the KOM are not showing up on the explore segments, but will show up if I go to my KOM list and click on the corresponding link. And yes I know to zoom in that is not the issue, but I am using Chrome so maybe some issue there?

  • Hello Strava,

Until the end of January, there were many segments on the map.
    Today there is one left.

is there a reason why many segments are invisible on the segment explorer?

Thank you for your work but here the explorer is out of order !

Ps: The segments are still in base since some were favorites and appear on the list of favorite segments
I'm sorry for my rough English

    Looking forward to your answer.

  • In addition,

the next segment should appear on the explorer. Whatever the level of zoom, it never appears.

    Whereas before everything worked normally.

Normally you have something to reproduce the bug.

    Good night and thank you

  • Finally, I asked STRAVA about this kind of false actionism. Up to now, I didn't get any response. On the heat map, you can see every segment. When my STRAVA free PREMIUM trial period expires and the segments won't come back - I will not stay at STRAVA PREMIUM for money. I could not sense any good will in customer support. Only the same sentence again and again "We are reviewing...bad people..." - That's not that STRAWA I knew - That sucks.

  • I also noticed that there are so many segments missing. did you reset the databade or remove the less trafficked?

  • There are segments that I know exist as I have KOM's for them and they never appear on my map search regardless of zooming in or out. They appeared when I first searched and starred them, now they never appear. Odd.

  • Where'd all the segments go on segment explorer, Strava?

  • Strava is hiding segments based on what?  It appears they left segments in larger towns in my area; i.e., Little Rock River Trail, Conway, Searcy, yet they hide segments out in rural areas which makes no sense. I won't be continuing my Premium membership.

  • Same with mine. 8 bucks a month to guess where segments are? I heard if its not a popular segment strava removed them. If that's true I'll be removing my 8 dollars!

  • I see this is still not fixed and there has been no comment from Strava, has anyone got any update or communication from them?

  • Segment explore was a great tool for locating decent routes in new areas.  Now that it doesn't refresh as the map is zoomed it's kind of useless.  It'd be nice if you fixed this.

  • It wasn't even 24 hrs after my comment that all my segments were back. Call it a coincidence or they didnt want to loose a customer. Maybr its just an upgrade and coincided with my cment also. Who knows.

  • I'm trying to use the route builder to create a loop.  A single critical existing segment is not showing up.  So I have 16 miles built of a 43 mile ride that I can't connect because of a single 2.3 mile segment I can't access.  This is slightly frustrating.  Why is this happening?
