Add Rowing stats to my profile

I know how to sync my Concept2 indoor rowing log with Strava so my indoor rows appear on my activity log. However it would be good to see these activities also added to the accumulated activity statistics in Strava so that they contribute to my year to date achievements and also to my achievements on the leaderboards of Strava clubs I am a member of . I also have a Spivi account where activities that are synced to Strava do get added to my accumulated achievement stats. I am suggesting the same for Concept2 activities. Thank you

  • Hello? Hello? Does anyone at Strava look at the New Feature Ideas forum? Either they haven't since September 27th or if they have maybe they think my suggestion is tosh but can't be bothered to reply :-)

  • What a great idea, Terry! Concept2 sessions not counting towards the weekly totals doesn't make any sense!

  • Would be simple easy to do - question is, is anyone looking?

  • @Steve Phillips  Some of us are. Keeping an online training journal which sums up total training hours per week is a vital time-saver for me. Besides, being it online helps with ease of future reference.

  • @Mark Guven yup I'm using concept 2 log and Ergdata. Why all the apps don't talk to each other is just annoying.

  • @Terry Mahoney  @Mark Guven  @Steve Phillips    Do any of you guys get splits and power etc.. to import into strava?  The data I'm getting from importing is missing all that. I hope that I'm skipping a step or something and the full data is able to be imported.    Any help would be appreciated.

  • @Fred LeCour I view all those vital stats on Garmin Connect which is absolutely amazing and very granular. Strava is more for the social aspect for me as everyone who's anyone is on Strava, so it's great to see their workouts and have a post-race online banter going on sometimes. The ONLY time I saw some data like you want is a month ago on someone's Strava page when he did an indoor spin bike session and he had a speed sensor and also a cadence sensor attached to his exercise bike.

  • Same here, I only ride and row, so it would make sense for me to be able to replace either run or swim as my main default activities.
Surely it can’t be that hard to do????

  • don't know who is checking this topic, I am using liverowing, the app gives you good insight, and it connects with strava syncing more data and it counts ;-)

  • I dont understand why my total mileage and also my activity log that shows weekly time spent does not include my Rowing Hours or Mileage. I set a goal for the year biking + rowing, but the tally only shows my biking time.

I know what Strava was created with the Cyclist in mind, and I only this year started rowing, but seems crazy that those rowing hours dont count. WTF Strava!?!

  • Crazy right? I mean there is an integration with Concept2 software, and it works great for each training session. But the completion of this integration is not there is beyond me. (and yeah - I pay for Strava).

  • Just looked at the monthly email summary and it looks like my rowing is showing in there, albeit in a graph bar format.
So the software is already pulling the data from somewhere, which to my mind, means that it’s not a big step to show it in the app itself.
Also, as stated I’d like to be able to select rowing instead of running or swimming as one of my default activities in my main app feed along side cycling.
Cmon Strava, this can’t be a big job!

  • So it seem to be showing in the Training Log feature - which is behind the paywall now i think but not on activity log - i use Concept2 Logbook and LiveRowing which are great and agree with Alistair H that clearly the data is their so why not show up on the activity log - some weeks it looks like i haven't done anything ! :-(
