    Hey Folks,

While this is a popular request, this is not planned for at least the first half of 2019.

    Cheers.

  • Agree. I want to only sync my rides, not cardio and strength from vivoactive hr to Strava.

My workaround is to set default activity privacy to private then unlock (make public) just my rides. What a PITA!

Please Strava, fix this and allow selection of activities to sync. At minimum an option for only activities with GPS data.

  • Seriously, manual sync is the only solution? Just got a Fenix5 and I've noticed that my cardio training was pushed as a ride to Strava... Hence started to search how to select which activity to push. Suunto allows you to select the activity type, there must be a way for Garmin to figure this out? Any other feedback than "manual upload"?

  • +1, I don't need or want my elliptical routines synced to Strava. Just bike rides. A filter by activity type should be easy to add.

  • +1! Don't want to automatically upload every single thing. Annoying for me and pretty sure it's annoying for my followers too....

  • Yeah I'm seeing the same thing. I would be happy if it only took data with GPS

  • Plus one. Given the range of activities tracked on newer Garmin watches it is crazy there is no way to choose which get sent to Strava. Limiting it to GPS based activities is not a solution. I want to sync my running & cycling but not my rounds of golf.

  • I have the same problem as Greg... Cardio training syncs to strava as a run from my fenix 5

  • Has anyone found a workaround for this?  With previous trackers from other companies I never had this problem.

  • I have been following this thread for a while now, but it occurs to me that everyone is posting this to the wrong company. I think this is more of a Garmin Connect issue than a Strava issue. Everyone should demand this as a feature in Garmin. Here is a web site to request new features in Garmin. We should inundate that site with the same request.

  • I have same problem too. My work-around solution is editing activity on strava, after sync completed.

Maybe we can build a third party app in the meantime.

  • Not having the feature is ridiculous. It's so overwhelming seeing (walks, golf as someone said, skiing, every little thing non running or riding syncing). It's not only annoying but it's a distraction to my more serious group of athlete friends which equals a poor user experience. The (default all activities to private seems like an Ok workaround) but it's still a PITA. Basically means I'm using less and will probably eventually turn into cancelling my premium membership which I've had for years.
