Strava Activity Widget includes all Activity Types

Currently, the Strava widget that can be embedded in external sites and blogs displays either Rides or Runs - depending on the activity preference set in the user's account settings. This suggestion is to provide a widget that will support all activity types, beyond just rides and runs, and to support all activity types in the same widget.

  • Yes! Going further, I'd like to see a widget that has a selectable filter (e.g., show rides, runs, and hikes, but not skiing, etc..). But a fine incremental solution would be to have a widget that just posts everything. This strange dichotomy seems to run through the whole strava universe: the iPod app can be downloaded as a bike app or a running app, even though the apps are seemingly identical.

  • Hi Elle,

widgets are great, but I have one small problem..I switched according your instructions to Run priority, but the widget seems to me still showing rides instead of runs...where is the problem? What I am doing wrong?

  • would love to have this option.  I have to write a summary of my activities when they could all just be posted.

  • I currently have my preference set to running but the widget in my blog still only shows my rides.  <iframe height='454' width='300' frameborder='0' allowtransparency='true' scrolling='no' src='http://www.strava.com/athletes/**/latest-rides/**'></iframe>.  Is there a latest runs option?  Why can I only see my ride data in the widget?

  • A widget for blog readers to follow the whole activity feed rather than just cycling would be great (and include indoor rides), and given that one exists already shouldn't be difficult to do. Good to promote a site and good advertising for Strava too.

  • A widget that shows my whole activity feed would be really great, thanks!  With different width/size options if possible so people can set it to match the pages they're putting it into, like blogs, etc..

    Thanks!

  • I'd like to show both my runs and rides in the same widget. I like the idea of allowing the viewer to turn on/off either one. As of now, I can't even use a workaround by using two separate widgets. c'mon strava, you can do this!!!

  • I forgot to say that I am keen for a monthly activity widget to be added for clubs please.  Weekly just isn't enough.

  • Yep never really understood why we have this fairly forced limitation of defining a "first" sport. I cycle and run and I have to demote running although I am pretty regular at both.

Having a widget that covers all activities clearly is the way to go. Please implement it Strava.

  • Did anything ever happen with this? Widget still seems to exclude anything other than ride or run.
