Strava Activity Widget includes all Activity Types

Currently, the Strava widget that can be embedded in external sites and blogs displays either Rides or Runs - depending on the activity preference set in the user's account settings. This suggestion is to provide a widget that will support all activity types, beyond just rides and runs, and to support all activity types in the same widget.

  • Just another nag about why this is taking so long.  Really want all activities in the feed!

  • +1 for adding multiple activities to the widget. I'm using the Android widget and I think the simple functionality is perfect. However, since I use the app to track rides AND runs, I would like to be able to one tap record for both. It seems as simple as letting me slide the widget back and forth to switch between riding and running.

  • +1 - why such simple requests take so long?

It should be a default from the start - it is multi-sport site, after all!!

It would be great to have the share widget embed addressed to pull through other workout types - swim in particular - currently swim comes through as "Rode on a Stationary Trainer" causing some confusion when the data is shared with coaches to third party training/coaching apps.

  • Hi Strava team and Strava peeps.

We've integrated this widget into our application which is used by coaches and their athletes. We just got a support request saying the data is incorrect. Would be good to address this since it's a really old issue now.

It's unlikely to be a big piece of work considering all the types are displayed correctly across other parts of the application. In the very least just hiding that part of the widget for other types would be a step in the right direction.

    thanks,

  • The feature discussed, to view all activity in both widgets, are really i urgent must fix! Should be good for strava as well as it would inrease exposure in blogs and other webpages. FOr someone traning alot of different sports there is really no point of a widget only displaying one sport. Is there i way to get a email when this feature is fixed? I would like it implemented on my blog as soon as possible.

  • Mostly I run and my runs wil be displayed in the widget in my own website/blog. This week I fulfilled the Rapha #Festive500 and the widget shows ...... nothing. Bummer, really like this to be "fixed", could not be such a big problem. Just show all the latest activity's, no matter what sport it was or what your preferences are.

  • Hi All,

I'm wondering if this issue has been solved yet? Id really like to be able to have my widget with both my cycling & running activities.

  • Hi All,

I´m wondering wy it is still not possible to get a widget for runs. So many people ask for that but it is still not available.

This is not a good support for strava users

  • I just got a notification from Torsten's comment today that reminded me about this issue.

Just wanted to add another comment.

This simple change would be beneficial for everyone and would mean the widget was used a lot more often by users and in turn get more exposure for Strava.

Would be great if someone from Strava could comment.

    Thanks! I love the platform
