Create a Strava Club for a specific bike type
I am a mountain unicyclist. There are many like me, and many others who ride long distance touring and other disciplines on a unicycle. We currently run into an issue with all unicycling clubs that we cannot keep accurate leaderboards, as if someone rides a unicycle or a bike, we only have 1 option, Bike. So all their bike rides show up on our leaderboard and ruin it for everyone, it's much easier to ride 50 miles on a bike than a unicycle, even a geared 36" uni...
The proposed idea is that when an activity is finished, and it is ready to be sent to Strava, that Strava would prompt us with a message similar to "Which clubs would you like to associate with this activity?"
That way our unicycle clubs could stay strictly unicycling, and people could still use their same account for cycling/running/etc as well.
This kind of system would be beneficial for EVERYONE, not just unicyclists. For instance, if I was a cyclist on a bike... but I rode both Mountain Biking AND road cycling, I might want to have 2 different clubs, one for each. But I wouldn't be able to separate my rides from each club without a system like I suggested above.
There could also be settings to make it easy for people who don't need this. Options like "Always post all activities to all clubs". Or you could associate a certain "bike" in the gear section with a specific club, and any activity with that specific "bike" would be linked to the club(s) of your choosing.
I love Strava, but it's really hard for some of us to use it to its max potential when it's limited by 2 categories. This kind of option would open up Strava to a much wider activity base. Kite surfers, paddle-boarders, windsurfers, skateboarders, snowboarders, skiers, surfers, in-line skaters, the list could go on forever. Will most of the data be accurate for us? No, but at least we could keep our community together and share our adventures. That's why I use Strava.

Have a good one and ride safe,
