Segment with a specific Start Date

Is there any way in which a segment can be created that will only consider rides that occur after a particular date?

This would be useful where a trail has been upgraded or where the road layout has been changed (e.g. one way street forcing route change) and it is no longer possible for anyone to achieve the times that were previously achievable.

  • HI Doug, we don't have this feature, but I think it is a great feature suggestion so I'm moving this topic to the Feature Suggestion section!

  • Very much need this with mountain biking, along with the option to expiry a segment after a particular date also. Trails change a lot over time, sometimes re-routing and the times on old rides may completely skew the leaderboards on the new. So much so that I see rides being flagged because an old ride years ago clocks unlikely times or KOMs on a new segment that didn't exist at the time, and the old segment may no longer exist.

  • Will tis request still be considered?  I just created a segment on our local MTB track and the track changed a lot in the last year.  There was some crazy fast times on there so I had a look and it was all older rides from when the track was shorter.  Please consider this as an option!

  • This is something that will be awesome and something I've wanted for a while.  I was thinking along the lines of creating segments like "Ken's fastline - 2014 Season", "Ken's fastline - 2014 Summer" etc.  I hope this gets serious consideration for future releases.
