Strava as iPad App
Hi
I have both an iPhone and iPad.
I would love an app designed for the iPad so I can use the iPad to record and view activities just like on the iPhone. I know I can use the iPhone app on the iPad but it does not look good and does not make good use of the iPad larger screen.
A suggestion for recording mode could be the map and current position shown on the screen and a window similar to the iPhone app superimposed on top.
Regards
Patrick

No desire to record; I use my Garmin GPS or the iPhone app. Reviewing my feed and particularly my challenge progress are the main reasons I would like an iPad version ...

While the iPhone app does work on the ipad...one needs to turn the screen vertically. Would be cool to have an ipad app that's horizontal...at a minimum, and it would be even cooler to have some additional functionality built into it (i.e., route planning, etc).
iPad version would be great.
For me, it's not about recording, it's about viewing activities easily on my iPad. I'm sure that you guys can develop an awesome app for iPad, very ergonomic, that will helps us…
Please…

Great to hear all the feedback in support of an iPad app! It seems like an iPad app optimized for browsing through activities in the Activity Feed, social features, and even route creation would be well received here.
While we would love to deliver this, our pipeline is currently full of other projects. Please keep voting and adding comments, as we will consider this project at a later time!
Did the iPad Strava app change since this original post? I use a Garmin 810 for "real" riding, which automatically uploads my activities to Garmin via the Garmin Connect app on my phone and Bluetooth, and then Garmin connect website sends the data to the Strava website automatically. Then I can use the Strava app on my Android to view my activities, edit titles, etc. Someone above asked why you would want to use an iPAD with the Strava app. The answer is simple: indoor training when it is below freezing and the roads have snow on them, which is my current state right when. When training indoors, the last thing I want is to be using is some tiny bike computer, like my Garmin Edge 810, with its crappy non-color interface and scrolling. I want to see my stats on a nice color screen while I interval train, etc, which is what you can use the iPAD, connected to your bike and heart rate sensors via bluetooth or ANT+.
But my question now is this. On the iPAD app I see in the settings a section for ANT+. I am still waiting for my ANT+ iPad adaptor, but I assume with this the Strava app will recognize my Garmin sensors? Please tell me yes. Second, I do not see this ANT+ section in the settings of my Android Strava app, and my Galaxy Note 3, happens to be ANT+ enabled. My Garmin Fit app recognizes my sensors. Is the Android Strava app not designed like the iPAD app to recognize ANT+ devices? This is frustrating.
Thanks,
Kris
