Show Upcoming Races and Events on Strava Profile

I'd like to be able to publish my upcoming Races so people can see what I'm training for.  I'd also like the feature to have upcoming training sessions, like major rides or runs, so friends can see and join in. Love Strava! Thanks!

Love this idea, thanks for sharing. We'll be sure to post any updates should this request become a planned project.

  • I agree, it also helps as a motivation to keep my training on tract.

  • Agree 100%!  There has been running race events added to the dashboard on the right of the screen, but not cycling.  Wasn't Strava originally set up for cyclists?  I would like to be able to enter my own upcoming event as a motivational goal/tool and not have to select one from a pre-existing list the may not include all of the hundreds of events in my area.

  • I too am perplexed by this: why can't I just enter the information or link to an upcoming cycling event?  To me, at least, seems a no-brainer...but then I don't write webcode.

  • Has this still not been addressed? On my Dashboard, beneath goals it says I have no upcoming races or goals. I do haven upcoming races. Can I not change that somehow?

    thanks

  • I suggested this and got a reply from Strava-- here's the reply:

    Hello,

I apologize for the inconvenience. Currently to my understanding you can use the Training Plans to train for certain races and race dates.

Regarding the featured running races, as a small Tech company we can currently support every race on the globe. Sorry about that. hopefully in the future this will be applicable.

For the time being you'll need to fill out the race form to have it added to our race database.

I hope you have a wonderful day and keep up the great work.

    Best,
    Rudolph

  • That's a very unimpressive reply from Strava. It's surprising they have such a huge customer base but variable responsiveness to their customers needs and wants.  Interesting that they refer people to Training Peaks (where indeed I also enter all my upcoming race info).  I wish Strava and Garmin and Google would get together and have a baby... one app/platform/system to rule them all.   :)  Until then, many apps (Strava, TP, Garmin Connect, Final Surge, MapMyWhatEver, etc.

  • Edit: I thought the feature existed, but that's only on my feed and not for public viewing as this topic requests.

Still hoping that the Strava folks can fix the disconnect between "Your Events" and "You have no races, events or goals coming soon" in activity feed, so I opened a support ticket.

Also, consider adding a comma after "events" to appease the Millennial crowd that goes nuts for Oxford commas.
