  • Hi,

I would like to know this as well.

Supporting Stryd at launch is definitely an important opportunity for Strava to stay one step ahead of all the other apps.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Strava, we kind of need this feature yesterday :) Hope to see the fix soon. Thanks!

  • Hi, guys.

Please turn power data support on for running. It shows up when the activity imports as a ride, but disappears when the activity is changed to a run. Thanks!

  • Ditto. Will be getting a Stryd device mid-October.

  • Adding my voice in support of running power meter Strava compatibility.

  • Adding my voice as well.  The data is there, it is a matter of enabling it to be displayed in run mode.  Strava has been my go-to running and biking log for a long time, and i'd like to keep it that way.  Thanks Strava -

  • The Stryd is now on the market and this feature is sadly lacking from Strava

In addition any file that was recorded as a ride and converted to a ride will display cycling segments instead of running segments.

  • +1 on the adding stryd to running. It's new and it's awesome. Right now you have to stream it I'm as cadence. Not ideal.

  • Same here, supporting power with running would be very nice!

  • Over a thousand users have already received or will be receiving their Stryd devices within the next few weeks. Now is the time for Strava to make it a priority and support it fully.

Any word from the Strava team on when this will happen?

As others have mentioned, we'd rather not switch to a new service just because of lack of Stryd support.

  • Definitely add me to the list of +1 for adding power to running.

I have done a few test runs with the Stryd power meter and like what I am seeing thus far.

    Thank you for your time

  • Aside from being able to view power on running activities, please create separate power curves for cycling and running. Right now, running power recorded on Stryd jacked up my cycling FTP (I wish I had that cycling power!)

  • Support for separate power metrics for running in Strava: Yes please.

    Thank you.

  • Yes, please! I've been able to set up power zones for running within Training Peaks, so it doesn't impact my cycling zones. I would like to be able to see my power for runs and manage within Strava.

  • Strava is an incredibly popular program for triathletes and cyclists who use power. The same triathletes are a big chunk of the target market for Stryd and it makes sense to allow them to see power.

  • Stryd needs to be supported. Would be a shame to have to jump ship over something so simple for you to correct.

  • Strava will add support for this in a couple of years if I judge from the latest feature development. I mean come on what are we talking about? They don't even support cadence

    • Why is this not happening? You'd have more people using your service if you made this metric available. This is not a difficult task. Put it out to beta and see what happens. I'll gladly testify for you.

    • +1   Running with stryd talking to my Garmin 910xt, want to see additional stryd metrics on strava.  Most importantly, want to have the combination of pace, heart rate, cadence, AND power.

    • Stryd support is a must or serious runners using Stryd will migrate from Strava. I need Stryd support.

    • Hi Strava!

I too just picked up a Stryd!

When uploading from Suunto or Garmin as a *Cycling* activity, power data remains.  After changing the Strava Activity to Running, power data is now stripped in Strava.

Leaving the running activity as a cycling activity, interferes with Cycling FTP vs. Running FTP.

Please update Strava to keep running Power data when changing to a Running activity.  If possible, a reply to this thread with any updates would be nice as well.  =)

      Thank you!

    • Stryd powermeter is now readily available on the market (ex. http://www.powermetershop.de/en/stryd-running-power-meter), so it would be natural that power would be included for running in same way as cycling.

    • +100! Supporting the Stryd power meter is truly a no-brainer. I know that you are trying to incorporate heart rate data of runs in your impulse-response model (Fitness and Freshness) for years (!) now. Now Stryd hands you the corresponding power data for free. It should be very easy to check against your findings.

      Thank you,

      Christof
