  • Hi,

I would like to know this as well.

Supporting Stryd at launch is definitely an important opportunity for Strava to stay one step ahead of all the other apps.

    Thanks.

  • Hi, guys.

Please turn power data support on for running. It shows up when the activity imports as a ride, but disappears when the activity is changed to a run. Thanks!

  • Three years on and they still can't support Stryd. I can't support Strava with a premium subscription either because of that :-D

  • Elle Anderson - It would be great if Strava were able to generate a "Best Efforts Power Curve" for running, in the same way it currently does for cycling. (https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216918507-Using-your-Best-Efforts-Power-Curve-Premium-)

  • Just downgraded too.  Sorry Strava, but until you provide this, I'm not paying for the service.

For others considering the same - when you downgrade - you are given a comment box to explain why.  Please tell them why.  Maybe this will help them prioritize the development effort...  maybe.

  • Gotta have all the running-specific Stryd data fields:  Power, Form Power, Ground contact time, Vertical oscillation, & Leg Stiffness.

Gotta support collecting those datum via the App in addition to sync from Garmin or Suunto.

While building it into the iOS App, please make sure it works natively on the Apple Watch Series 2 with and without the phone nearby, using the Apple Watch HRM or 3rd-party HRM paired to Watch or iPhone, my choice.

On longer runs I probably want my phone for safety reasons but for every day shorter runs the Watch should suffice without loss of functionality; however, it needs to be easy to switch between the two modes of operation.

  • No running metrics, no premium fee. Time to vote with your $$

  • Adding my voice as well.  The data is there, it is a matter of enabling it to be displayed in run mode.  Strava has been my go-to running and biking log for a long time, and i'd like to keep it that way.  Thanks Strava -

  • We really need to get this resolved ASAP, because it basically makes Strava useless as a way to record running and cycling activities in one account.  If you run with a power meter, you are corrupting the power curve data for cycling.  Please make this change soon to provide a separate running power curve.

  • Unless Strava starts to show some support for running power I seriously doubt I will renew my premium membership.  This has been out long enough and yet there is no response from Strava on this at all.

Strava are you listening.  Your customers are trying to tell you something.

  • +1 for running power metrics and a separate best efforts power curve for running. Any timelines on this?

  • They are more concerned with social media than real training functionality.

  • 2017 is almost over and the official statement was that you would look at adding power to run activities. Are there any updates? Training Peaks does a better analysis of a run activities data and they already have the ability to use power data from run activities. The premium Strava membership is great but it's not valuable unless it can use all of the data I have including Stryd power data from my run workouts. I have to make a decision to switch to Training Peaks as my go to training app if Strava won't support Stryd and power data for running. Please let me know.

  • Nope the Stravistix power data has been broken for weeks. Issue at Strava end.

Really there is no reason why any such field should be missing from Strava. I'd add SMO2 to this as well, especially with the Humon sensor coming out any time now.

  • Another Stryd user here - and a premium Strava user. Please please please support this. And can you give us an update on where it might be in your planning process?

  • Bump! I'm seeing 136 comments requesting/discussing this feature. Zwift recently partnered with Stryd to release new hardware designed for indoor treadmill running. Zwifters have used Strava to track their indoor cycling activity, and now we need Strava to level up and add support for indoor running activity. I don't want to use a separate app for running and biking. Winter is coming, please solve this.

  • @Jess I'm not considering to upgrade to any Strava plan until Stryd support.

I think to be not alone.

Hope to see the device supported in Strava.

  • Over a thousand users have already received or will be receiving their Stryd devices within the next few weeks. Now is the time for Strava to make it a priority and support it fully.

Any word from the Strava team on when this will happen?

As others have mentioned, we'd rather not switch to a new service just because of lack of Stryd support.

  • Strava is an incredibly popular program for triathletes and cyclists who use power. The same triathletes are a big chunk of the target market for Stryd and it makes sense to allow them to see power.

  • Stryd support is a must or serious runners using Stryd will migrate from Strava. I need Stryd support.

  • +1 to add power to running activities.

as bonus, stryd collects vertical oscillation and ground contact time (as does some garmin/suunto devices). Adding support to both of these metrics would be stellar!

  • Strava needs to implement this feature so it doesn't affect the Bike power curve which Premium members have visible and use.  With power becoming more and more mainstream ti would be great to get this implemented.

  • Would love to be able to see all the Stryd metrics on the STRAVA page. I just got my Stryd working and am using garmin connect or the Stryd power center to see them.
