have option to hide commutes in your activity feed

More than half the activity in my feed is my friends' commutes and it just clutters up the feed. It would be nice to have an option to 'hide commutes from the activity feed' then all the interesting activity won't be buried under peoples' daily commutes

  • Fixed this ? I have marked my commute rides this week. I can see "commute" markers in my Android app but rides are still shown in my activity feed on the website and not showing any marker at all. So my question is: besides setting the marker, what's the profit ?

  • Hello - we haven't developed a feature to filter out certain activity tags from the Activity feed, but we did add the commute tag to our mobile app. Thanks for your patience.

  • I think this is a great idea. I also think it would be good for premium members to be able to exclude from the heatmap calculations - they completely dominate that heatmap for obvious reasons! I want to be able to see my training/leisure rides without the commutes skewing the results.

  • I agree that it would be a significant improvement to be able to hide other people's commutes from the activity feed. Some days I have a full screen of dull city rides..

  • Bumping this, because it's a great idea. I don't want to see commutes in my feed. I make all my commutes private so others don't have to see them, but my feed is still full of others' commutes.

  • Completely agree with this. The feed becomes dominated by dull city rides. I've stopped recording commutes for this reason, but then don't get a true record of my of activity over the weeks months years.

  • Any progress on this?

As an example, if you have five friends recording their daily commutes this means that your activity feed will be flooded with 50 uninteresting entries every week.

also it would be nice to hide activities below a certain threshold (some people don't tag their commutes...).

  • Strava, most strava users want to hide commutes of others in the activity feed, why is this still not implemented?

  • I neither want to see my commutes or anyone else’s. I don’t want kudo for commutes either.

  • This one is so overdue and easy to implement. Please Strava make it happen...

  • I'm getting the feeling strava doesn't even read the support posts or comments.
You're right, it's so easy to implement. Just add a setting and listen to that setting in the feed.

  • The other side of the commute problem. If users can't hide their own commutes in a good way, then allow users to filter off others' commutes from their feed. Please, implement this. Strava, you there?

  • Up it would be nice to be able to monitor the commute in the stats while being able to hide those from the feed of the followers ...

For the moment either we keep them private and stats are just for us (global km per week etc...) or public and we annoy evryone with the commutes being in the activity feed of others ...

Seriously putting a filter on the activity feed is not rocket science coding ;)

    That should be implamented quickly.
