Heart Rate Analysis for "Nordic Ski" (and other Activity Types)

Why on earth is Heart Rate Analysis not available for the Nordic Ski activity type, like for Cycling and Running? Or other relevant activity types for that matter?

  • Also sufferscore and freshness and fitness. Shopping there based on activities type and not based on available data seems like a very bad design for me.

  • Reasoning i used in my support ticket for the same: In Norway, Nordic Skiing is used as winter training because of heaps of snow. Spinning for short intervals, skiing for training with longer duration. I would like to get my ski training into my "Fitness and Freshness" report, but for activities to show up there they need a sufferscore. F&F has support for basing it on "HR and Power Meter", but only cycling HR for some reason. I think that is unnecessary (I already have power on my bike, it is the other training where power is missing). Please add other activities (like Nordic Skiing) to the data you base your Freshness and Fitness HR (and power) calculations on.

  • Oh, and changing Activiti Type to cycling shows suffer score, HR analysis, F&F - so its not like the data is lacking.

Yes, please increase data analytics for nordic skiing.

Also, allow sub-menu in nordic skiing for classic and skate technique.

  • It would be GREAT to have Heart Rate Analysis/Zones even for XC Skiing. In summer we train a lot of roller skiing on the same roads with less trafic as road racing bikers. So, even Segments could be reused :) I would like to have even the km-split times with average bpm and time/km, i e a mix between cycling and running would be perfect!

  • It's frustrating that suffer score disappears when you edit activity type from Running (default upload) to Nordic ski. Why??

  • I'm able to see the Suffer Score and HR analysis on my Nordic Ski activities: https://www.strava.com/activities/339434/overview

Does anyone have an example of this, or another activity type (besides Swimming, which we know about), with Suffer Score and/or HR missing? Thank you!

  • On a PC, when your red SufferScore is present, but when I click it, nothing else is displayed.

The same thing happens for my walk https://www.strava.com/activities/910890231 .   The link certainly changes though, just nothing displayed.

On my Android phone, as soon as I visit the above walk, the heart rate analysis symbol appears for just a very tiny interval of time (before I can click) then disappears.

  • There has been improvements: It has Suffer Score now, and it does show in "Fitness and Freshness".

It is still missing Premium - Heart Rate in left menu to show time in the different HR zones e.g.

  • I am so disappointed that heart treat analysis isn't applicable for Nordic, it is the only way to get a great workout in the winter in Colorado. Please bring the same stats as running would have, I literally have to set my watch to run when I am asking which is useless.
