Bicycle components

I use the bicycle components list to keep track of how much km my tires, wheels, chain and cassette has done.  But I quite often swap wheels between bikes, and use a thin, quick tire sometimes in summer, only to swap it in bad weather.

Right now you can remove items, by "do not use" them. You can not place them back, or swap them out with others though. Only way to keep track of milage is to keep count in the comment section of the item.

So, I would like an option to put a wheel in the garage, by "do not use" them, and would like to be able to later place it back on my bike...

  • And ability to move components to another bike would be a great addition.

  • Even just the ability to take components off the bike and put them back on later would be nice!

  • Yes yes yes!

+1 to switch components from bikes to bikes

+1 to swap components (like wheels on & off multiple time)

  • Go to this page ( https://www.probikegarage.com/ ) and request the app. It is awesome. It is in Beta still, but I've encountered no bugs yet. Takes a little bit to setup all your components, but it is simple enough. It will import your bikes from Strava, but it isn't able to bring over components. It's organized in tabs by; bikes, components and rides.

The bikes tab is pretty obvious. It's where you go to add and view bikes. Clicking the bike let's you see details like what gear is installed and what rides it's been on. You can also click on an installed component for similar additional details of remove it from the bike. Also, from the selected bike, you can add components that have been created in the components section of the app.

Components tab is where you create and view any components, whether or not installed. You can click on any component for additional details and options, like installing on a bike. Clicking the three dots at the top allows you to edit the item.

If you've made it this far, you probably are understanding how the app works. It's fairly intuitive. Check it out.

  • Ok thanks,

Tried to sign-up but I'm on the waiting list.

Anyway, I don't have an Android.  Too bad there's no online version.

  • Pro Bike Garage is now public in the Play Store! At least according to the email I received from them the other day.

  • Yes, this is just a feature I want, in fact a frame is just a component, gets built up with parts from other bicycles, when a frame breaks, a new bike gets built with what is left.

  • @Martan Aboitiz, I've been using pro bike garage app, and it's pretty awesome. Could use a few additions, but their support claims to be working on the ones I desire. Its on android and iphone now.

  • The ability to "shelve" a component would be fantastic, even if it is a summit feature.
