Sort segment in segment search

I would like to be able to sort segments that are shown after a search.

Currently the columns (category, distance, elevation difference, average grade etc) cannot be sorted (or filtered for that matter) and having the ability to sort the results would vastly improved user experience and choice.

Sorting would allow users to create simple searches for segment within their areas, with the longest the top, or the flattest, or the hardest classified climb etc.

  • Strongly support this suggestion, would be very useful for planning training rides.

  • I strongly support this suggestion too, such an obvious improvement.

  • This needs to happen.  Currently you can only filter by gradient.  I really need to be able to filter by distance so that I can skip all the short segments.  Then I'll be able to find the longer segments I am searching for.

  • Plus one.  Seems basic.

Instead we get all this functionality about being able to kudo everyone.

  • an open source platform would fix this issue in minutes, rather than years of inactivity

  • Filters and better search results would be great....  Or at the very least limit to a specific city.......

  • This x 1000. There are so many segments like: "My own driveway; 0.1km"

  • How is this still not possible? Come on!
It seems the most basic of all features, yet it's not even accessible to those paying a decent amount of money for Strava premium features. A lot of which seem a lot more superfluous than filtering segments.
