Requirements for Leaderboard

Please make it a requirement that a cyclist must at least wear a heartrate monitor to be displayed in rankings. I've seen so many records being set by riders without powermeter or heartrate monitor to mask their fake. Some times are simply not possible.

  • I am a fairly high end racer but do not wear a heart rate monitor and only have a power meter on my TT bike.  No way I feel I should have to go out and spend hundreds/thousands of dollars on more equipment just to be listed on a leaderboard.  If you feel a time posted is not accurate, flag it, simple as that.

  • Nope. I don't wear HR or have a pwoermeter and don't want to be forced to buy that simply to be on the leaderboard. Bad idea.

  • How to flag it please? I've got guys in my town posting 2:05km's at 113 bpm. (Siem Reap).

  • Muskett - Flagging an activity is easy.  Just open the activity (click on the time in the leaderboard) from the desktop version of Strava (does not work on a mobile app at this point).  When there, click on the three little dots on the lower left side of the page and select "flag".  Once that page opens, just select why you are flagging it, add a little note explaining the reason, then click "flag".

  • Danijel - No, the person who gets flagged does not see who flagged them.  It is all anonymous.
