Yearly Mileage Total

My yearly cycling mileage total does not include my most recent ride.  This figure sometimes takes a little time to update, but it's been more than 24 hours.  Anyone having this issue?

Thanks.

  • I'm noticing this same issue lately.  Often, the mileage doesn't change until I exit Strava after adding a ride and then log back in but this week, it's missing the mileage from 2 rides and it's been a couple of days since adding them.  I don't have a solution, just telling you that you're not alone!

  • I was able to get it to work using the following advice from Strava:

How to recalculate your profile statistics:
To recalculate your profile statistics please access your account on the Strava website using a computer. On your profile page, scroll down to My Stats where underneath you will be able to click "Refresh Stats". After clicking 'Refresh Stats' the button may appear greyed out, this means the system is refreshing.

  • I had a similar issue. My total mileage said 4978, so I did a 22 mile ride to get to 5000. But after posting the ride, it still said 4978. I figured this was just a caching issue, and that it would update automatically in the next hour or so. But I saw the Refresh Stats button, clicked it, and the mileage jumped up to 5212! I guess some rides were not included in the total although I don't know which ones.

This is a bug. The total mileage should automatically update to the correct value, if not immediately then in a short time. You shouldn't have to routinely click Refresh Stats to make sure you are seeing the current stats.

  • I'm getting the delayed update on the year to date mileage, sometimes taking over a day to update. So I used the refresh stats button, after clicking on the button the total did refresh but, just like Ken Wolfe the total increased by a bit more than I was expecting. After a ride yesterday and the total not updating I used the refresh stats again and this time the total went down and then today the same thing happens. I upload my ride the yearly total doesn't update I use the refresh stats option and again my yearly total decreases? Interestingly the weekly total rises by the expected amount

  • Similar problem. My stats used to update automatically, but now I always have to press the button. But quite often it adds double the last amount, and I have to refresh again to correct it.

Today, I refreshed and got the correct total. But a few hours later it was too high again and needed a second refresh to bring it back down!

  • Not exactly the same problem however stats do not load quickly like they used to.

I rode 30 miles on Saturday and my mileage went down for the year.

On Saturday it said 4397 total  and today Tuesday it says 4359.

I was 103 miles from my yearly goal and now I'm 141 miles.

    What's going on?

  • Look in your profile, it's all there.

  • Valerie - You would have to post that question to the Strava techs rather than this user forum.  Nobody on here has access to your account, so we would have no idea what your stats were.  You can check your own total stats by clicking on your profile page in Strava and looking on the right side of the page.  The total distance and elevation gain is listed there.  Best to do this on a desktop computer.
