Battery saver mode warning
I've been using the runkeeper app for almost the past decade now and it's worked great for me. However I recently switched over to Strava due to all my colleagues using it and the more "Community" / "Social" feel to the app and so far I love it.
the ONLY problem I have with the app, is that it doesn't give me a warning when i'm in battery saver mode on my phone (which is most of the time) and after my run, I realize the GPS was only taking measurements very infrequently and my route is all messed up. It results in me having to either 1) manually enter a route, or 2) find a similar route/time and doctor the *.gpx file and subsequently import it. Neither of these is acceptable to me. I've lost over 12 GPS routes from runs over the past two months due to this.
I realize it's my own stupidity for always having my phone in battery saver mode (come on, doesn't everybody want a little extra juice?)
my issue is that Runkeeper (IMO far inferior app) would always WARN me that i'm in battery saver mode, and that my GPS accuracy would be suspect unless I turned battery saver off.
Can you add a feature to let me know if my phone is in battery saver mode before I start my exercise?
It's a small request, but a major deal breaker for me. If this keeps occurring, I will definitely be switching back to runkeeper, because as cool as all of the segments and social activity that goes on in strava is, it's not as important to me as accuracy of my running route.
