  • Specific examples and details that illustrate the problem/confusion you are experiencing. For example: When I do ___, then ___ happens and that is not ok because ___.
  • Screenshots that help visually illustrate the problem. For example: Here is a picture illustrating my point ___ from above. See how ___ is doing ___?
  • An explanation of why this is important. For example: This is important to me because ___.
  • If you propose a solution, an explanation of how that solution would help you and why that is important. For example: I think a ___ would be great because then I could see ___. This is important to me because I have to ___.

If someone has already suggested the same idea as you, you can help us quantify the demand for the feature or improvement by upvoting the original comment. To upvote, click the up arrow on the right-hand side of the comment.

  • I recorded a ride of 16 miles yesterday but no segments or maps appeared in the upload, including one of which I am "Local Legend". The total mileage and time was, however, correct. Does anybody know if it's possible to manually add the LL segment to my record? I rode a similar route including the same segment last week - https://strava.com/activities/6880754446/segments/2942470085316218170…

  • Why do I lose local legend numbers decrease overnight!!!

I.E – after yesterdays ride I had a total of 100 LL attempts on a segment – at the start of today it was down by 2. This doesnt make any sense – number should remain the same for at least 24 hours then decrease by 1 if you dont use that segment.

  • Stuie Thomson - LL is based on the number of attempts of a segment over the last 90 days only.  Every day, after midnight (it is based on the time of day, not 24 hours from when you do it), any attempts 91 days before will drop off the tally.  If you had 100 attempts showing on a segment, that means there were at least 10 days in there that you did it more than once, and many more than that if there were some days you didn't do it at all, within the last 90 days.  It could just be that the day that dropped off the calendar was one of those days when you did it more than once.

  • Hi Stuie Thomson, essentially what Jason Lamoreaux responded is correct. However, if you'd like us to investigate, feel free to submit a support ticket and we can take a look for you.

  • It seems to me that a local legend should be for all time, not 90 days.  One doesn't become a "legend" in a few months.

  • I know what you mean, but the 90 days thing does give you a focus to keep up the good work.  The hill I consider "mine" is one I do fairly regularly but, if I see that other riders are catching up with my 90 total, I put in a couple few rides in quick succession to put some distance between us. There are many less significant segments of which I'm a LL, but I'm not so concerned about those :-)
