List My Top 10s or "Almost KOMs"

On the KOM page, could you also put a section that would list my "Top 10s"? (or Top 5s) This would be a list of the segments that you've almost made a KOM (but didn't and are still in the top 5 or 10). Some of us are old and we ride where lots of people ride. We get some top 10s, but not a lot of KOMs. Do you feel me?

  • The lack of support for features frequently being asked for has had me not renew my premium membership. Seems Strava is content selling the same website year in year out without improving it. yeah sure, it looks slicker at times and maybe a font changes every now and then but ideas like this one or the possibility to add a ride when your 'garmin' fails has been overlooked year after year.

  • Well said Patrick Emmett, it’s the reason I won’t renew my premium too..

  • I really don't understand. We have been asking for this feature for years and what does Strava allocate resources to? Instagram stickers.

Really can't understand why this has not already been implemented.

  • Brian S., lowest common denominator features like Instagram stickers and Snapchat filters are what bring account sign-ups to platforms such as Strava. Platforms that otherwise might languish in obscurity. In the great words of Big Tom Callahan, "If you ain't growing, you're dying. There ain't no third direction!"

Thankfully, hipsters can now not only Strava their pub crawl, but seamlessly tell their followers all about it in a Snapchat story.

We can rest assured that these same hipsters will eventually convert into the die-hard KOM-hunting, goal-setting, and data-crunching cyclists that made Strava worth a damn in the first place, thus ensuring the platforms survival for at least a couple more years.

  • February 03, 2014... I don't really know why we bother providing our suggestions. I, like a lot of others, are noticing Strava constantly head down the social side of things over concentrating on athletes' needs & desires. This maybe a small one in the grand scheme of things but it proves the rule. Im with Brian and Jeff on this one..... Instagram stickers.... really Strava??........ REALLY???

I seriously cant wait for the day a suitable replacement pops up!

  • +1 to all this. Having got a good 8th bike segment yesterday over a decent length segment, a 9th on a run today and holding one #1 in a run I thought I’d go on Strava and see my portfolio of “top 10s”, but nothing there. Then I came here and saw you all have been asking for years!

    so, definitely, +1

  • Plus 1 for this feature and would happily pay the premium for it too.

Can’t be that hard to sort?

  • I absolutely agree.  Sometimes getting a top ten trophy can be just as rewarding as a KOM.  We work hard for our results and it would be nice to at least have a list of those for ourselves.  If STRAVA is going to award trophies for top ten finishes, why not have an automatic list of them?

  • I've been wsiting a year. Others have been waiting for more than 6 years. Recommend you use VELOVIEW. It takes Strava data and uses it intelligently to get virtually any parameter or score you'll ever need. Excellent. Strava should be ashamed we pay them annual fees for NO development.

  • Someone posted about VeloViewer a couple weeks ago. I signed up. Aside from the plethora of additional data, you can easily see your top 10s. It's quite addictive to click through all the metrics they offer. I recommend taking a look.

  • Chris McGonnell, I did the same and I'm considering not to pay Strava "summit" again...

  • Agree with the previous two posts ... I've used VelovVewer for about a year and it provides all the KOM, etc. rankings and a vast amount of other data that we've been begging Strava for. It also costs less per year than even one of Strava's repackaged useless bell and whistles "Premium" toolkits. SO much more return on your investment. In the meantime, Strava hopes you appreciate those killer new Kudo emojis ... that's what we all ride for, right?

  • I can’t belive this isn’t a ‘thing!’ It has been on other apps I’ve used in the past.
I’ve only come across this after I googled to find out how to see all my trophies together (top 10s)
I couldn’t find it and assumed it was possible to!
I’m shocked that it isn’t even an option but more so that users have been asking since 2014 and still no answer or update 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • I see that you have about 139 comments suggesting that you implement the idea of having a trophy section w/ top tens.  I know many Strava users who would welcome and love this added feature in user profiles.   Any progress on this front?

  • Hey Folks,

Thanks for adding your thoughts and comments. I currently do not have any updated information on incorporating a feature like this right now. I wish I could provide more for you all, but unfortunately, I can't. Keep adding your comments and how this would improve our Strava community. Cheers!

  • Jess, Thanks for replying- good to know this thread is being watched.

Why is it not being considered? Its readily available on most other apps and people are stating they would pay for premium for this? Its very frustrating...

  • Veloviewer has come up a number of times. This just proves that it is possible to create a list of top 10 trophies. I just feel that should be included in my strava premium membership, not an add on service with addition cost involved.

  • Absolutely and this is a no-brainer, quite honestly. If they are not responding to this overwhelming request, perhaps they could at least explain the why behind not doing it.

    C'mon already!

  • Hey Jess, thanks for your reply.

Since 2014, 654 forum users have asked for it ... I guess it's not a rocket science feature.

If you do not have enough computational power to update the rankings live at least leave us a button for the asynchronous calculation of our top 10.

Update my KOM/PR will be similar to "Update my stats".

  • I would only add that most us in this forum are likely "paying" users.  Am I right?  Strava is great -- I know I love it and use it on every ride.  But, listen to your customers too.

  • Hey guys,

I think veloviewer.com does what you're looking for. You connect and then go to "segments".

  • Veloviewer is excellent, but I wish it would still project the top 10's to Strava; easier brag that way since nobody's going to your veloviewer account to see, right?

  • WTF is wrong with the strava development strategy? So many users asking for this simple feature and you dont implement it?? It should be easy programming! I am currently a premium member, but this kind of annoying stuff want me to use free version instead.
