Activity feed order

Can anyone tell me how to have my Activity Feed show my workouts in date order? I've looked all over the website and can't figure it out.

I upload my bike rides from my VDO trip computer (usually every 3-4 days) and add walks manually - imported from Polar Flow logs.

Whenever I want to view them, they're in imported order - so this week, I have bike rides from 10th - 13th, then 3 walks from 12th - 14th, then bike rides from 14th and 15th.

Surely, there must be a way to change this, my Polar & Endomondo accounts have a diary page style view.

  • I think the activity feed sorts in order of relevance -- not sure there is a way to change that.

In the app, try going to your profile, then your activities, and I think they will be in descending order from newest to oldest.

If that doesn't work, the website also provides 3 different, additional ways  to view activities in order from Training menu.

Going to your profile on the website works too.

  • The whole Strava feed is a disaster.  There are ways to see your own activity in chronological order in Strava - either by viewing "Training Calendar", "Training Log" or by viewing "My Activities".  However the feed is in a "magic order" based on what Strava thinks is of most interest to you.  In my opinion there should be an option to have your feed in chronological order - just like you can on Twitter.  For me, the feed is totally useless the way Strava have implemented it.

  • I was hoping the recent APP update would have corrected this. The sort order of the activities doesn't make any obvious sense. As a user, I expect to see rides based on most recent date/time.

I figure this will stay they way it is. Strava doesn't have a great reputation for listening to users and making requested changes. Thousands of users have been begging them to bring back the dark theme but they basically said "stick it". So, we are stuck with what they give us till something someday better will come along.

I have a friend who cancelled his Premium membership as a token protest over the sort ordering. Viewing other's activities is a pain now so why pay for something that is harder to use.

Try the Garmin app. It's pretty cool. Has all the goods.

  • So it's been a while since the change... I've tried to forget about it but it still bloody annoying. My weekend ride still appears above the ride I did this morning (Wednesday).

    It's just wrong

  • I urge anyone else who dislikes the sorting that Strava currently uses to submit a support request or feedback asking to have the activity feed sorted chronologically.
The only thing that will get them to do anything is to inundate them with requests. The more requests, the better chance of getting what we want.
Here is a link for their survey:

  • It is really annoying though. I've just gone to using Golden Cheetah for my own activities - it makes more sense and is more powerful for analysis. The only thing strava should now be useful for is keeping up with friends, but the algorithm that fails to understand my priorities means it isn't good for that either. Might even look at going back to Garmin Connect!

  • Stephen Crane - I shouldnt have to use a Chrome extension to be able to see my feed in chronological order, it should be like that anyway!
