Galaxy Watch App Problems

Recently (since early September 2019) the Androud App on my Galaxy Watch has failed to record my activities. It seems to be not recording gps data even though my Galaxy Watch does (can see in Samsung Health) and gps is on, no power saving mode is used etc. After activities it says "Strava needs a longer activity to upload. Do you want to discard this one?" This even when I have run a 32km/ 2 hour 33 min race. Have uninstalled a d reinstalled Strava app. Still problem exists. What is going on??? Very frustrating and no reply from Strava publicly to others reporting this issue. Help please!!

  • Is anything done about this?

I have been having the same problems... I've uninstalled and reinstalled the strava app on both phone and watch... seriously disappointed as I am in a challenge at my gym with no proof of work outs :(

  • I am having the same issue on a Galaxy S3 watch. It was fine until an update several weeks ago, and Strava now crashes during my rides. I will start it and see the bike icon in the top of the screen, then when I check during the ride the icon is still there. When I stop riding and go to my watch to save the rive, Strava is no longer running. When you touch the icon it pops up and asks to start recording a ride as if you had never started it before.

I also have a Galaxy S10 5g phone, and when I start Strava on the phone, I am getting the GPS signal flying off the map and back to where I am multiple times. I have discovered that this corresponds to when I stop for more than a few seconds and Strava auto pauses. When I resume the track comes back to where I am and resumes recording. This leaves a ride map with lines shooting off in various directions.
