  • Sort by number of Kudos, ascending
  • Sort by number of Comments
  • Filter for Grouped activities
  • Filter by Activity Type
  • Sort by notable achievements (KOMs/QOMs/CRs/PRs)
  • Choose a default Feed view: My Activities, Clubs, etc.

  • +1 for filtering the feed, especially by activity type. With al those new activity types some people feel the need to put every move they make on Strava. I'm totally not interested in people playing golf or ice skating etc. They pollute my feed and now I feel the need to remove more and more people from my feed. I'm only interested in what they do on a bike, nothing else. What is next, put it on Strava when you have sex?

  • I googled just to see how to do this very simple thing. Found this post. Sigh...

    A friend i added does 2 commuting rides per day. I only care about his runs. I don't demand anything fancy. Just a tickbox where i can disable activity types in the feed that i don't care about. It doesn't need to be per person or anything like that. Just [x] Runs. This can't be even remotely hard to implement and would also reduce the amount of data Strava pushes to me so it would be a win-win.

    Now with support for clubs in mobiles, my feed is full of people joining clubs. I don't wanna see other's achievements, challenges and clubs. Only activities!

  • Definitely allow hidden rides to count for mileage.  I'd use that.

    Also I'd love to be able to filter out other people's rides less than N km - that would cover the commutes and tiny "Strava everything" rides.

  • +1 option to filter out commutes.
    They clutter up my activity feed.

  • Please get on this.  Strava is so boring to look at right now.  15 uploads a day for .2 mile runs from people is not fun at all.

  • filter manually added activities, that way I don't have to look at all those weight exercises, yogas and crossfits.

    +1 for filtering by activity type

    I currently log all my daily commute rides. My feed quickly gets full of these rides. I mark them all as private in order to spare my follower's feeds from being cluttered with them, but it would be nice to filter them out from my own feed as well.

  • And now we need to add to the list: the option to sort BY THE F*CKING DATE OF THE ACTIVITY since Strava ignored all of the feedback on their new feed and is forcing it on everyone now. Oh, and allow me to filter out Challenge notifications. I hate the beginning of the month now, real stuff is completely buried with everyone joining every bloody challenge.

    Strava is now officially too big and is taking the same crappy road Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have taken, tweaking things based on analyses of user's behavior (which they badly misinterpret), and/or prioritizing monetization over user experience. It's really disappointing.

  • It says this feature is planned, any time line as to when you plan to implement it? Also how long has it been planned for, as this thread is 5 years old?

  • Chrome extension updated for the recent redesign.

    Can now filter out:

    * commutes

    * virtual rides (eg zwift)

    * challenge cards

    * short rides

  • Agree, filtering seems lika an obvious feature. Why this is not implemented yet since it was suggested back in 2012 is beyond my imagination. Whould greatly improve the user experience!

  • "Social media" sites can only maximize the value of your eyeballs when they are controlling what you see. Therefore they'll never give you the ability to fine-tune things in your feed. You are the product, not the customer. I don't like it either.

  • What's up with this fix?  I can sort this list by date, but there is still no option to sort my Dashboard by date.  It is very frustrating when a ride from last month shows up at the top of my list or I have to search down though the list to confirm that something I just uploaded actually made it.

  • Yes please. Get zwift out of my feed along with commutes and runs not interested in them only want to see legit rides that are worthy of kudos. The original comment is near 6 years old this should be priority would really improve the user experience

  • Just a FYI: there's another feed too, exclusively about getting Zwift activities out of our feeds and stopping Zwift miles as counting as real miles: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/208859697-Settings-to-hide-Zwift-trainer-rides-in-feed

  • Let us sort OUT zwift/trainer stationary rides.  I use Strava to see the adventures people do, 1 mile or 100 miles I don't care I will check it all out; but seeing their basement riding data inside their own home I would like to remove from my feed.

  • Sadly, guys, they're never going to do any of this. However they measure "engagement", they are optimizing the feed for that so they can make their "partnerships" as profitable as possible. Their business is selling your eyeballs (and don't think for a second that being a paying member gives you any say). It's the tragedy of modern web-based businesses. I just wish they'd come out and tell us the truth instead of pretending to care about what we want. That's actually what makes me most angry - it's so patronizing!

  • A big thank you to Martin V who posted on August 18, 2016 13:16 a little bookmarklet to remove all Commutes from the Strave dashboard.

    I extended it a little to get rid of everything containing "Commute", "Lauf" (German for "run") or "Zwift".

    Just create a bookmark and add it to your browser's bookmark bar:

    javascript:(function(){jQuery('.activity:contains(Commute),.activity:contains(Lauf),.activity:contains(Zwift)').remove();}())

    Nice!

  • So...it's been six years since this original idea was presented, and it seems to have a lot of support.

    Children go from single cell zygotes to rudimentary computer programming within such a timeframe.

    What up, Strava??

  • +1 for filtering out commutes. I've just got a new Garmin so I'm tracking all my commutes and I know it'll be annoying people. The status says 'planned', but what's the update?
