  • Filter out Virtual Rides/Zwift
  • Sort by number of Kudos, ascending
  • Sort by number of Comments
  • Filter for Grouped activities
  • Filter by Activity Type

  • Please add the ability to filter out people's daily commutes.  Who cares?

  • Absolutely agree to the Commute options - the 'Commute' tick box currently does nothing (as far as I can tell) and as others have said it can fill up the news feed quickly.   Besides I also don't want my commutes showing up in the club/groups that I am a member of.   Come on Strava lets have some sensible filtering!

  • I consider an activity feed filter extremely important.  I am interested in cycling, not running.  Many cyclists also run.  With the growing popularity of Strava and my ever increasing "Following" list, I miss some activities that below the current page view.  If I could filter out Run activities that wouldn't happen so often. Often I have to click the "More" button several times.  Why the delay in implementing this feature?

  • +1 for removing Commutes from the Activity Feed. My feed is just clogged up with the same rides day in, day out and it would seem like a huge leap to be able to filter these out...

  • Completely agree - I am embarrassed about my daily 10k commutes polluting my followers' feeds but want to keep registering them. Please give the 'commute' option more power and enable filtering for rides <[x]km or marked as commute. Thanks!

  • What a waste of typing.  This topic has been going on and on for so long its almost as old as I am.  Unfortunately Strava doesn't read this and they have no intention of make any filtering changes. They are making fools of us.  Heck, we are making fools of ourselves if we think this will do any good.

  • I googled just to see how to do this very simple thing. Found this post. Sigh...

A friend i added does 2 commuting rides per day. I only care about his runs. I don't demand anything fancy. Just a tickbox where i can disable activity types in the feed that i don't care about. It doesn't need to be per person or anything like that. Just [x] Runs. This can't be even remotely hard to implement and would also reduce the amount of data Strava pushes to me so it would be a win-win.

  • Please please please update the app and website so we can filter out other people's commutes from the activity feed!

  • I am one of those "spamming" my followers with daily commutes. But still I really want to have a total of Km cycled, so I need to track the activities.

  • Maybe we should all write critical reviews for the Strava app on Google Play (and Apple App Store) mentioning only the ignorance of Strava against its users and link to this thread in the Strava Support Forum. The rating of the app is something that definitely is in focus of Strava. This will hopefully make them wake up. Maybe the mobile app team will forward this feedback to the right Strava team then.

And hey, they could at least explain why they are not implementing this feature. That is what ignorance is about.

  • +1 for filtering out commutes in your news feed.

Come on Strava, its been over 5 years since this request! :)

  • Better yet, make "My Activities" the default, and then you can switch on others as desired.

  • I made a request that was deleted so I'll post the same here. I ride 3-5 days a week as a commute and feel that I am definitely spamming followers with the same exact ride two days a week. It's enough that a couple people have already stopped following me. Please allow us to check the Commute button from the iPhone app and filter this out of the news feed. I only have a hald dozen (max) rides per month that actually count as "real" rides, but I want to track all of my mileage.

  • Yes, please provide a way to filter commutes!  I want to track them, but I don't want to spam my friends with them.

  • I cancelled my premium membership which dates back to soon after I signed up in 2011 due to having no official option to filter my feed despite many, many folks actually wanting it. If they ever got around to re-adding it, I'd consider going back.

  • Hard to believe this thread is 6 years old now and still no filtering for activity feed. What do the developers at Strava actually do during their working hours, besides add more useless social media "features"

  • Would be nice to be able to filter certain feeds (such as only show rides > X miles, etc.). Another nice to have would be to "snooze" certain feeds like Tweetcasters 'zip' feature.

  • I agree with Eric.  Having the option to make "My Activities" the default option would be welcomed.  I don't really want to see what people I'm following are doing all the time.

  • I also would like a filter for commutes, different friends, rides only, etc.  I would argue that certain rides by people are just as boring as seeing commutes and I like to see when friends are riding to work.

Regarding Jeremy's comment, I want the GPS route for my commutes.  Several reasons, 1) I take different routes sometimes and want to know that route info, 2) performance in segments over many commutes helps me see increases in fitness, 3) despite being commutes, I have many PRs on segments and even a few KOMs.  If commutes didn't hold GPS data I'd simply not log them as commutes.  I can see where others might find two rides a day to the same place boring to see in their feed.

I don't formally "train" anymore, I don't consider my commutes junk miles that I don't want any statisical information on.

  • I would definitely like to see the option to filter out Commutes from my Strava feed - I used to mark all my commutes as private, but then these don't get included in any of the Strava Challenges. As far as I can see, at the moment, the commute check box doesnt actually do anything!

  • I'm marking all of my commute rides as private to prevent spamming other people.  My dashboard is spammed from commutes from at least 2 people I'm following.  I would very much like to select whether to show commute rides in my dashboard, whether to show rides less than xx miles, etc.  This would be a WONDERFUL option.

Marking my commute private has a down side.  They don't contribute to my "best ride" for any segments on that route for instance.  We need this filter mechanism!

  • I agree - at least we should have the option (or even by default) don't show commutes on the dashboard. I want to track them - but I don't want to spam other peoples dashboards.

  • Please add Zwift as another thing to filter on (or filter out).  I don't want to know if someone played Pokemon Go today, why would I want to know if they used Zwift!

  • As one of the original posters of this subject I have decided to not renew my premium STRAVA membership.  Not only has filtering not been implemented but there is more junk and doodads on STAVA than ever before. I don't want to spend hours going through all this stuff.  I just want to ride my bike and give JUDOS to road riders. I will not upgrade to Premium until Strava implement a way to filter STRAVA posts. I suggest other do the same.

  • Please allow us more control of our feeds, like Facebook does! I would like to be able to filter who I see (choose which riders show up - some Strava friends are only acquaintances and I don't need to see what they are doing every time they ride), and even what I see (filter out commutes). And I would like to be able to choose what is my default page - I don't want it to go by default to show me what others are doing, I want it to default to My Activities! Or at least choose that as an option.

  • Yes, would be really nice to get rid of the challenges flooding my dashboard. It's annoying when people subscribe to more challenges than they have activities. I'd like to see pure activities only.
