Add Google Plus Support

It's becoming more and more disappointing that websites aren't recognising the impending demise of Facebook. Could you PLEASE add a G+ share button on the page, or at least make it selectable that I can swap the FB button for a G+ button. In fact, considering I don't log in with FB, why would the FB button even be made available to me?

  • Even some crappy little sites have shared to G+ feature guys. Pls add "Share to G+". It's such a shame really.

  • Sharing a ride on Google+ is quite easy using the Android app, since they have a generic share menu which includes Google+. Also, posting a link manually is not that hard, but it still requires a few extra steps. However, even when I share my rides on Google+ by doing this, the result is not optimal, the thumbnail is small and doesn't show my route. So in general, this is what I would like to see from a good Google+ integration.

    * Login using Google+ Sign-In - This is not the most important part, but it would be a nice to have. https://developers.google.com/+/features/sign-in

    * A Sharing button for Google+ https://developers.google.com/+/web/share/

        * When pressing the sharing button the Title should be set using the ride/run/workout title, the message body from the description field and the image from the thumbnail. It probably would make sense to also add time and distans aso to the title/body. https://developers.google.com/+/web/snippet/

       * Maybe using the larger thumbnails  http://www.thesocialmediahat.com/news/google-verifies-full-bleed-image-requirements-05092014

    * Only show the sharing buttons that are configured, and add a "Connect Accounts for sharing..." in a overflow menu or something. Besides being pointless to show sharing options that are not configured, I'm currently forced do have plugins to my browser preventing different social sites from tracking me.

  • To be able to have large thumnails, it seems that the type should be Blog, BlogPost or Article but I guess the most correct type whould be ExerciseAction. So I guess that a more correct snippet notation would mean smaller thumbnails. Here is the schema for ExerciseAction  http://schema.org/ExerciseAction

  • Not only sharing and login, I'd also like Strava can do friend matching by Google+.

  • In Android most apps allow you to share to any application (Whats app, Dropbox, G+, etc) Why not let Strava do that as well

  • It's frustrating that such a simple link can't be added to the system? I don't facebook - but with over 700 followers and 3/4 million views on my account alone, you'd think Strava would acknowledge that Google+ ers deserve a posting link?

  • via Android app the sharing works fine. Just....not via strava.com yet. Big wish!

    And how about loading up thumbnail pictures from picasa (and/or direct from phone) to a activity !?

  • Old post, but would still love to see G+ integration. I completely agree with prior comments, Facebook is my last choice of social media these days.
