  • Please!

You can query flickr by the time the photo was taken (instead of when uploaded).

This mean all my gopro photos would display on my strava activity.

  • Yes, need something besides Instagram(R) which crops all photos to a square!

  • Have you considered any other method of integrating photos, other than Instagram? I only signed up to instagram to use the photo integration, and I can't say I think much of their interface.

Here are things that Instagram does poorly:
-no web interface for editing photos or comments
-too many steps to take a photo while out on a ride (start app, select camera, take picture, apply filter, add text, save <- isn't this supposed to be easy?)
-square pictures <- why, are square pictures cool? Aren't phone screens rectangular?
-pictures taken are hard to get out of Instagram <- need a 3rd party app

So, I'm out on a ride and I want to take a picture. A good picture (well as good as my phone can). One without some damaging effect applied. But I want it linked to my ride. My only choice is to take 2 pictures with two different apps (Instagram to link to the ride, and the camera app to create a half-decent photo). The Instagram app already takes way too many steps to create a picture. Now I have to do it twice.

So, I take pictures and I don't link them to the ride. As a Garmin user, I'm usually at the laptop when I'm examining a ride. Instagram will only let me import photos using the app. On a stupid little screen with a stupid little keyboard, while I'm usually sitting beside my laptop (big screen/real keyboard).

Frustrating user experience (to say the least).

  • I want to post photos that I've taken with a real camera and edited on my computer. Please make it possible to upload photos directly from a computer and then link them to a specific ride. Thank you.

  • Two issues here.  One is Strava only  taking photos from the Instagram app.  The other is the time limit, within 45 min after a ride.  Most digital cameras can be set to record the date and time a photo is taken.  If Strava wd only look at the photo meta data, it cd see that a photo was taken to coincide w a particular ride time.

Back to the first problem, I understand it may be too big a problem for Strava to create sw to interface w many different apps, but how about a few extremely popular ones?  I'd suggest Android, iphone, apple OS, and Windows computers.  Those 4 would cover most of your subscribers.

Thanks for considering this.  It simply doesn't work to try to do everything thru Instagram within 45 min of completing a ride.

  • Guys, please post here instead and mention Flickr would be a useful option. What we desperately need is something instead of Instragram, so we can ALL add photos. https://strava.zendesk.com/entries/22073359-Manually-Add-a-Photo-to-an-Activity
