Integration with Moves app

It would be great to add integration with http://www.moves-app.com/
The main reason - Moves app doesn't require me to start/stop tracking. It tracks my activities the whole day.
But it lacks the power of analytics that Strava provide. Both together will be a perfect combination.
Currently I have to use a third-party service to export GPX from Moves. And then import it here. It's really tedious.

  • Agreed, Moves has done great work making the battery consumption work all day and categorize activity types. Hopefully there's enough data to make apps like strava work.

  • +1 on this. I almost always forget to hit the start button on Strava. Being able to import my cycle segments from Moves would be great.

Also battery usage should be better if I have one app constantly checking my location rather than that plus 2-3 cycle apps.

  • Try using http://www.moves-export.com/ as this seems to do what you want.

Strava doesn't seem to be automatically creating rides based on Moves Export data. I can see my data in Moves Export, but not Strava and I see no options to modify in Strava

  • I have tried using Strava, but I decided to use Endomondo instead. I do have Moves running tho, and it works great. There are lots of apps it can integrate and if Strave could do that, I would start using strava again. Otherwise there is no point. I really do hope Strava team tries to integrate

right now you can only manually export this way — just means logging onto moves-export occasionally and clicking the Strava button on various activities

Also found another sync service Tapiriik (https://tapiriik.com) that can sync with a number of other sports tracking services... it doesn't support Moves directly, but you could set up Moves-Export to sync to RunKeeper, and then use Tapiriik to sync to Strava (and elsewhere) from RunKeeper...
