Invert the plot of run pace on graph

Hi Strava,

This may be possible in premium already im not sure.

What about having the option to invert the pace axis for the plotting of pace on the graph, so that when pace increases (ie. the "pace" value decreases) the graph would climb and visa versa. It may be slightly more easy for some people to visualise their runs in this way.

Only a suggestion to an already great site

Thanks Peter

  • Thanks Peter! There are no options to customize the graph for pace with the Premium subscription - sorry about that. However, we are aware of this feedback. We choose this orientation of the run analysis graph in our design, but understand that it might not work for everyone.

    Appreciate the feedback!

  • Now you've inverted the pace graphs... can I be the first to ask to have them back the way they were, or at least user-selectable? It's not the end of the world though, either way, I just thought you'd appreciate the feedback.

  • I concur, with Ed. There needs to be a user selectable display mode or flip it back to make sense for runner's that use pace.  It's not speed!  I increase my speed, whereas I drop my pace.  E.g. " I dropped my pace from 4:40 to 3:40 to slam that segment!"  I want to see the line drop.  Thanks.  I will make this a request.

  • So whatever happened with this? The pace graphs still show upward direction for lower (faster) pace! If I ask for a speed plot I'd expect the graph to go up with speed. If I ask for a pace plot I'd expect it to go DOWN with lower pace where lower is better. Very confusing.
