Provide flybys only for people you follow

On the current flybys you provide data on a whole bunch of people that I don't know and (frankly don't care about) can you show flybys (or at least be able to filter) for your mates who you follow.

Thx

  • I have a similar idea.....I would like to see my mates rides on flybys whether I went past them/crossed paths with them or not. Make flybys more about followers than strangers.

  • same comments as above.

would love to see a tick box to turn on and off for people that i follow. would be interesting to see which way we go to places etc. i don't need to know about other riders i see on the road that i don't now.

PS very hard to find the comments back section on the site. almost as if you don't want feed back.?????

    good developments. like them.

  • I see some of the people I follow go through a place 10 minutes before me or 10 minutes after but they are not visble on my Flyby.

Someone I don't know who doesn't quite cross paths with me shows up though which is really weird. I commute to work (sometimes the long way) as do loads of my colleagues so my flyby would be everyone I know arrowing into work.

Flyby needs a "following" or "followers" button. :-)

  • This would also be great if you missed a bunch ride and never caught your mates. You could see how close you got. I just makes sense to be able to see your friends.

If you see a friend rode similar route and you can't see them on your flybys, there is still hope. The painful work around at the moment is to check your flybys and your friends flybys and find a common rider. Possibly someone riding the opposite direction or stopped for some time. Review the unknown riders flybys and check your name and your friends. It can be tricky to find the common rider but it's works.

I just want to see all friends at once. Please.

  • Another vote for this. When I've done a sportive or marathon I want to see how people I'm connected with got on. In some of these events people aren't all assigned the same start time so it would be useful to see when who passed whom. And I'm not interested in seeing flybys for the thousands of strangers who participated.

  • +1 for this feature as well, too many strangers in the Flybys and sometimes me and my friends don't start at the same time and because of this we can't see each other on the Flybys list

  • Just run a half marathon with 12000 competitors. I'd quite like to see the flyby with just me and my friends. Seems to be impossible. Indeed.

  • Also the ability to search for your friends (people you follow) would be useful.

  • Adding a "filter by group" option to Flyby in the same manner as on the main feed would be really useful then I could not only see flyby's of just my friends but also members of specific (larger groups) that I'm in.

Wonder if there's any way this could be implemented in an extension like https://chris-lamb.co.uk/projects/strava-enhancement-suite
