Deleting and reinstalling Strava app..........will any data be lost?

I’m getting irritating straight lines on many activities - tends to be from a random point straight to the starting point. It doesn’t appear to affect the actual distance moved but is annoying.

I’ve tried a number of things to remedy but the problem persists. I’m thinking of deleting the app from my phone and and reinstalling but am worried about losing my activities. Any advice welcome.

  • No problem, no data lost during reinstallation of the Strava app. I did it yesterday because of malfunction of updating my activities recorded by Garmin, shared to Strava and synced with Apple health/activities. After reinstall of the app I had to scroll down my activities in the Strava app first. After that they all appear again in the Health/Activities on iPhone/Watch.

  • All of your data is stored on Strava's servers so you shouldn't lose any data.
