Better Multisport/Triathlon support and features

Please leave us your comments, ideas, and feedback here regarding better support of multi-sport activities on Strava.

As things currently stand, some multisport devices will segment out the different activity types in to separate pages (swim/bike/run) when uploaded to Strava. Sometimes, however, an entire multisport file will upload as one activity page - presenting problems with choosing an activity type, achievements, and training stats. We currently don't have many features specifically designed for triathletes, but would love to hear your ideas. What multisport features and functions would you love to see on Strava in the future?

Thanks!

  • Strava - 7 years ago you were asked for Multisport / Triathlon support but yet you still can't provide it, I am cancelling my membership you seem to be too busy painting rainbow lines on maps instead of concentrating where your customers want you to.

  • I gave up hope as well. Now changing from apple products to garmin. They do understand their community! Strava and runtastic are just cashing

  • Was very happy that I could log swimrun as a multi sport on my new 935, that was until my training session logged every in and and out the lake separately and I had 10 entries in my Strava (premium) account! 🤬 Cue ribbing from my tri club "mates".
I checked my Garmin Connect account which gave me all the information I needed in one neat place... Please sort this sometime this decade.

  • Swimrun (multi sport) activities need to be sorted soon!

I've chosen to log my activities as runs instead to avoid spamming my friends, as each run and swim gets logged as separate activities when using swimrun activity.

This has instead led to that most of my runs have been flagged for having bad GPS, hence I'm constantly writing to Strava support telling them my runs are fine. The altitudes are way off though, but that could just be set to zero meters - I'm not chasing vertical meters.

Please make an effort in solving swimrun activities!

  • One of the many reasons I no longer pay for Strava. No proper multi sport support after all this time.

  • Why doesn't the multisport training log include the training hours from XT sessions. I think it would be kind of important to keep track of training load from weight training and other activities than just cycling, running and swimming.

  • Why not just keep the activites as seperate in Strava as they are now (when synced from Garmin Connect) but instead add another layer for display purposes that indicates the different multi sport activites as one.

For example for 3 activites in a sequence Run-Swim-Run with start end times that were adjacent then they could be automatically wrapped or grouped in the UI with some high level combined stats (like total distance and time) and combined map.

An ordered list would show each leg of the grouped activity indicating each sport and the stats which the user can click through to see underlying in depth activity data.

This way only an additional layer is being added for display purposes but the underlying activities remain the same.

8 years later, while Garmin manages this nicely, Strava still does nothing to support Multisport. What a shame.

Instead i have to spam my followers with 9 activities for 1 hour of sport. So bad!
