Weekly Walking Stats and Goals

I notice you have a weekly cycling and running goal and chart to see how you're progressing. Can you have one for walking ?

    I agree with the points above. I can't run due to knee issues but want to stretch myself with the amount of walking I do. My goal target won't pick up the walking I am doing, which means there seems to be little point in the fact I have upgraded for training etc.

  • Guess above answers my question. Starve still does not allow you the option to record walking stats.

    I'd like to do the NHS run walk bike 1000 miles in a year but Stava does not accumulate walking as an activity.

    Please add walking to options.

    why can't I display walking instead of running? - my only two activities are walking and cycling.

  • I, too, would like a stats section dedicated to walking. 
    I know a woman personally that has a goal to walk with her dog something like 2000 miles this year and she is having to log all her walks as "runs" in order to have Strava tally the walks. This makes the analytics way off for her actual runs when she runs. There definitely should be a section for running, swimming, biking, AND walking!

  • It is as if Strava is saying that walking is not an activity worth recording stats for when I am sure that there are more people out there walking than running and all the walkers would like this information recorded and stats reported on as a runner gets

    very frustrating and makes me want to end my membership I feel so strongly about it

  • Come on,  Strava.  Get with the program and please add Walking to the list of trackable activities.  It might not be as physically demanding as cycling or running, but that doesn't mean that walking should be dismissed out of hand as just as valid an exercise option.  Some people are simply not capable (for whatever reason) of cycling and / or running, but by walking they're still more than doing their bit to improve both their fitness and their health.  Please recognise that.

  • I concur, add walking to overviews summaries etc. 

    Personally on ride a bike and walk.

    I would like to see similar features as for running also for walking.

    Please add, would make a great app and community even better.

  • Since 2014 (!!!!) people are complaining about the impossibility of setting goals for other activities then cycling, running and swimming. Can you please tell us why this is not implemented? And are there any plans to do so? Not even one answer or reaction from strava in 6 years time is a shame. Please answer us.

  • I’ve added the subscription today, but will cancel in 60 days if walking is not added. Fascinating that this thread has no response from Strava. Count me in as an athlete that cannot run, but I cycle and walk.

  • At 70 years old I walk 40 plus miles a week in the 2,700 foot desert around Tucson and I can’t even set a goal because I’m not cycling, swimming or running! I just purchased a yearly subscription, but not sure I’ll keep it if your developers can’t add a feature that people have wanted since 2014. I have a PhD in Computer Science and I can’t imagine ignoring my customers for 6 years. I haven’t seen a comment from Strava concerning this enhancement request. Can you please at least respond to this request? I sold my software company after 20 years and our number one core value was, “Customer service is the key to competitive advantage”. You should try it out since you are in a very competitive market!
