Bulk upload for manual activity

Hi,

I have a long list of old training activity in Excel, and many others probably have similar lists. It would save a lot of time/effort if we could bulk upload this activity, e.g. via a flat table. This should be relatively easy to make possible. Currently manual input of activity is limited to one item at a time.

Best regards,

Eddy

  • Exactly what I need I want to bulk upload a load of commutes so a copy function would be useful but also a simple upload from excel or CSV would do the job perfectly

  • Did this ever get implemented? I commute every day but never remember to strava it. I would love to be able to bulk upload a bunch of rides and mark them as commute

  • I'll be releasing a tool within the next few weeks that allows you to bulk import manual entries through an excel sheet.  I did this for my dad originally because he had 2000 manual entries to upload.  The tool is built to automate the upload process and has uploaded 2000 entries within 35 minutes.

I’ll reply again when it's finished, it’ll be published on here: https://github.com/j10max-git/Strava-Bulk-Manual-Import    with a guide on how to use the tool.

Also, it uses an excel template to import your entries into the tool.

  • Letting you guys know I've released the tool.  Find it here: https://github.com/j10max-git/Strava-Bulk-Manual-Import

You can find the guide here: https://github.com/j10max-git/Strava-Bulk-Upload/wiki

Unfortunately, there's a bug that I couldn't fix where you can only enter whole numbers for the distance and elevation fields.  Please keep that in mind.  However, everything else works seamlessly.

If you have any issues please use the contact form linked on the readme page.

If you use the tool please star the repo project on github!

  • Awesome work James - hopefully you will get the distance elevation bug fixed - still should save me a lot of time bringing over my legacy data from Endomondo

  • really awesome James. I could strava my running history from 2008 to 2011 with a short break caused by strava error: "too many requests"

  • Hi folks,
I just added an import feature to my Strava API App. You just need to prepare your data in Excel in a certain format and order, than copy&paste it. Feel free to try it here:
    https://entorb.net/strava/
I suggest to start your first test with only a few activities until you get the format right.
    Best Torben
