Yes, please implement this!! I want to look be able to glance at my phone when I'm riding and get the info I need (!!!!!!!!!including speed!!!!!!!!!!!) without taking my hands off the grips.

I too was surprised and very disappointed that it's not possible to keep the phone unlocked, and have the current speed indicated.
