  • I had it on my Galaxy Watch bought in April and it worked fine. But now that I had to reset the watch I don´t find the app in the store anymore. I hope there´s soon a solution!

  • Daniel,

You need to download if from the galaxy wearable app not the play store.

Don;t get to excited though it does not work very well

  • Artur, that's exactly what I get no Strava app, just the watch face app. I've contacted support and they haven't given me any answers. And Samsung health is really flaky on syncing to strava. TBH I'm regretting buying Samsung over Garman.

  • Ok mine must be showing as it is installed!

Honestly would not be surprised if they have pulled it, it is awful! Doesn't track anything other than time and even that is sporadic.

Many many reports of it not working.

I've stopped using it now as it is so bad.

  • @Karl so what app on Galaxy Watch do you use?

  • Artur,

As I type this I'm setting up mapmyride and mapmyrun which apparently works on the watch and phone. Will be testing tonight and tomorrow (from and to work) I'll let you know how I get on.

  • I got a response from support. The app has been pulled down due to bugs (derrr) They couldn't give me an eta on when it will be back up. Atm I am using Samsung Health to record but geez even that's flakey when syncing to Strava...

  • The Samsung Galaxy Watch App was a waste of time anyway, it wouldn't record properly and the few times it did it wouldn't sync up the run correctly or would duplicate runs.

I would suggest using Samsung Health but the auto-sync to strava on that is also really slow, it sometimes takes days to sync. I'm now recording on Samsung Health and then manually exporting and importing into strava, but that loses heart rate information.

So no ideal solution apart from third party apps

  • This is so disappointing. I wanted to get the Galaxy Active 2, but I will not until there is a working Strava App. For the time being I will keep using my four year old Huawei Watch (version 1) - which works really well with Strava. I just hate the proprietary charging!

  • I am soooooo damn frustrated with this. Upgraded from my Note 8 to Note 10 and also got myself a 46mm watch. The data is not syncing between watch and phone, So now I sit with manual uploads which is a bit defeatist ****** WTF !

  • Hi All,

Broke my arm literally 2 days after my last post! so barely got to use the myfitness with anger.

In all honesty i found it actually gave me some useful info on the watch itself unlike strava, but also the watch face had some level of customization.

The actual capture of route, first run was pretty bad, next one was considerably better was hoping 3rd use would then be on-point but this is the point in which I broke my arm so cannot say for certain.

Strava eventually responded to my support request 3.5wks after logging it by which point I had decided to leave it.

As mentioned above the myfitness apps need to run in conjunction with each other but did seem to work, strava could learn alot from them..
