Show all results for Estimated Best Efforts for Runs

Show a list of all Estimated Best Efforts for run - 1st, 2nd and 3rd best. Currently, only the fastest Estimated Best Effort for each distance is displayed on the Profile Page.

Original post:

Is it possible to view all the personal performance records on one page, I assume so, but where to find this option escapes me?  Under stats, it only lists 3 items at a time.

Best 1k
Best 1 mile

  • A reply to Elle's and Bryan's last post. If GPS accuracy is an issue then why do Strava display the current best efforts? Or is Elle's comment about GPS accuracy a completely different issue to "better surfacing more of your Estimated Best Efforts across all distances".

Any list of best efforts would have to be taken with a dose of salts. There are so many considerations, including

    • gps accuracy
    • length of run ie I'm personally unlikely to get a 5k pb within a 20k run, but it would be good to see; VeloViewer.com best splits are an interesting read.
    • I live in a hilly, though not mountainous area and most runs are subtly if not substantially different. I like the generalisation that I can run 10k in roughly x minutes given a broadly similar elevation and to see how this has improved over time - injury aside :-(

I really like the new(ish) matched runs, something similar for best efforts!!

  • Hey Elle, why don't you just at least tell us why you wont show the data that you use to show some of the best efforts? Apologies if this is frank but it's a product of frustration at you BS answers that dont address the very obvious question. You show some, you tell us when we have achieved a best or second best etc...we just want to see those numbers that provide those notifications in a list. Do you understand? Blink if you understand...

  • Elle - Please see these requests and take them seriously. I have been Premium for 1  year (and I know others have been waiting 3 years).  I have stopped recommending Strava (I just hooked up my fiance to Nike so I can see how it differs)... I think I am one of MANY that are no longer 100% happy and are ready to switch soon if we aren't supported.  Please send us some good news.

  • Hey here's a thought Strava, see if VeloViewer will license his work and brand it as Strava (with obvious acknowledgements). I'm happy to give VeloViewer £10pa.

Your premium option of £40pa is personally over the top.

  • Also when you get around to this; hopefully not too much longer, can we possibly have the option of viewing additional distance(s) in the best efforts data, using a check-box system or similar:

    15 k

    30 k

    50 k

    50 mi

    100 k

    100 mi

  • I'd like to add that the reason this is so important is because it's next to impossible to see what your 2nd, 3rd, etc. best estimated times are. If you go back and look at an old run, it might still say "Best Estimated 5k Effort," even if you've beat that time multiple times since then. Having a list of the top 3 or 5 times for each distance, as well as the date when it was achieved, would be so helpful in determining progress. Maybe even in a format similar to the matched runs? Attached is a little mock-up based on the already existing and slick-looking matched run graph.

  • Was this added?  It's been 3 years now!

  • 3 years is a long time. Explanation provided is B.S.

If Veloviewer can do it, then why Strava can't? I don't want to pay for 2 accounts...

    Thanks

  • Just do what I did and sync your data to Smashrun, a running stats app that actually lets you look at your stats.  3 years...lol.  They don't care!

  • Hi Bob

Thanks for pointing me at smashrun, the website design looks pretty cool! However they seem to be handling only running moves, no cycling or cross country skiing?

Unfortunately Strava's policy doesn't allow them to pull directly my move via the API. Did you find a way to bulk upload all your old Strava running moves?

  • Yeah, cheers Bob! Smashrun looks amazing. I'm going to subscribe to their pro version.

STRAVA DO YOU HEAR THAT? PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR FEATURES THEY WANT! I meant it when I said I would not give Strava any more money until this was implemented. Unfortunately, they make us feel like we aren't important to them. In the meantime other services pop up that address our needs.

I have not recommended Strava to any of my friends in a long time.

  • Still waiting. I might just follow everyone and go to smashrun or something else ... It is sad because strava does have the potential to become the best running/biking apps ...

  • Very disappointed that this has not been resolved.

It should be a very easy fix?

Why is it taking over 3 years to resolve??

Strava you have some excellent features but you are dreadful at responding to customer feedback. Please fix or at least explain why you can't??

  • Yup - a simple tab (perhaps one that is customizable from the webapp) enabling people to view their PB's for personally chosen distances would be awesome...doesn't have to be best estimated - just make it best actual based on the actual data the device collects.....oh, and HURRY UP with it...pretty obvious feature....

  • If GPS accuracy is the issue, why don't you let users decide to keep out any "miscalculated" (because of GPS accuracy) best effort? Many users will understand the GPS accuracy issue to exist and not easy to fix, but also appreciate a personal "lifetime" scoreboard with top 3 or top 5 best performances per distance. • I have to agree that it is disappointing to not see any progress on the customer experience enhancement for so many years. Any chance we can at least get an update to see if this is a future vision for Strava?

  • Can't believe that this is still not the case!!! Why hand out 1st, 2nd and 3rds for the workouts but not have an overall page to view them all on for each distance? !?!?!

  • Hi guys,

I wrote a small website that gets the info for you.

You can check it out here: http://benwebb.net/strava/prs.php

You can use the columns to sort by whatever PB distance you need.

Let me know if you found it helpful.

Would love to see Half Marathon and Marathon time support in there too... ;-)
