Display Run Activity graph by Time on x-axis

After searching around I have found that it's not possible to have time as unit on the X-axis for runs. That is very important, please add it!

  • Thanks Runar - this is a great feature suggestion. We'll see what we can do!

  • I would second this request.  Particularly as the feature is available for cyclists, but not for runners.   It doesn't seem fair to have more analysis available for one sport than another.  With cycling, I can view time or distance on the x-axis and can also highlight parts of the ride in order to zoom in more on the pace and heart rate.  I would be grateful if the same feature were available for runners too.

  • How hard can this be?!

  • Any plans on implementing this feature?

  • Just upgraded to the Premium Trail. I have notices that the Ride Analysis is a lot more in depth than the Run Analysis. Run analysis just gives you three graphs. With the Ride you don't have access to these three graphs but you can view you workout by Time or Distance and select a range to analyse. I think it strange that this is a one of the other options for both. Why not give the same analysis options to both runs and rides.

  • Seconding this.

Using distance traveled on the x-axis is usefull for some activities, but may give the wrong image, especially when analyzing heart-rates during timed intervals.

A suggestion for implementation: make it possible to choose data for both x- and y-axis (time, speed, HR, elevation, distance...)

  • This is very important. Otherwise pauses are hidden during interval training.

  • WTF?! Why on earth is this not fixed yet?

  • MARCO!?!?!?!

This zooming feature for the graph data is working for Rides.... with a nice Segment overlay below elevation....

WHY are RUNS not shown with that same feature????  zooming into portions of graph or toggling graphs by time (instead of distance) is very helpful once runs get to be longer.   A handful of hills or a tempo section....quickly gets washed out and disappear on a 15 or 20mile Run.

  • Why is this not yet resolved? When riding indoor, on a trainer of on an indoor track, this should help a lot to analyse your effort over time! Please make this your top priority for 2018. That and chronological feed. Thanks!

  • why has this not been addressed or added?  It's been years!  Should be easy copy of implementation of graph code

should be able to highlight part of a long run or long activity and see avgs and such for the period.  Hate how on a 20mile run with 5 fast miles... I can't highlight the 'pace' miles to get avg pace/HR, peaks HR etc!

I love how on rides it tells you the zoomed in sections elevation change and slope %.   Great for comparing climbs fromm training runs vs a Race...or a treadmill run...etc.

    PLEASE ADD!!!!

  • Is there any chance of this being implemented soon?

It’s such a basic feature, I can’t understand why it wasn’t implemented back in 2014 when this thread started!

I’m currently on a free trial of Strava premium membership, but won’t pay for this currently as it lacks something so fundamental.

  •  This would certainly help analyzing interval training a lot - the "per km" view is useless for timed intervals

  • Is it likely that this feature will ever be added for running activities? It would be very useful. I'm surprised (and disappointed) that Strava doesn't already do this.

  • How is this feature still not available?   Other apps have created the functionally easily. This are also native offerings, not some premium markup.

  • I would also find the option helpful - the distance metric for indoor training is pointless to me.

  • I use Zwift for interval training and now that ive seen what the graphs look like they are far more useful than strava. Come on Strava, even Bryton's analysis pages allowed you to flip time for distance on graphs.

    Cant be that hard
