Unretire (Put on hold) or add milage to components

So if i change/swap tires (winter and summer, studded, not studded) it would be awesome if i could put last seasons milage to the component. Or simply "UNRETIRE" a component, and alle its milage would be there, ready for further riding.

This would be very handy, asper now i have to manually track milage every time winter comes, and i put the studded tires on...

Hoping the community agrees.

Best regards,

Ørjan Garfjell

  • Yes we need pause and resumes actions on components in addition to the current retire and 'delete'  see also this other thread https://strava.zendesk.com/entries/98539377-Addition-to-the-my-gear-components-feature

  • Adding vote to this. Surprise this feature isn't there. just need third option  next to "Retire/Delete" like Hold/Pause.

Great for tracking spare sets of wheels and other components that are swapped on bikes

  • I agree. This would be very useful functionality.

  • I also agree with the above. I understand that db-wise this could be a big thing if a component is used on multiple occasions. Easier solution would be to be able to add "extra km" used to a component.

  • Hi Strava devs; any movement on this feature idea? Thanks to discs, more people than ever are swapping between different wheels and/or tires for different seasons or terrains on the same bike.

  • rather than a hold/pause feature, it would be better if it was like your components were an inventory and you could just select the current applicable ones.

perfect example is if you have two sets of wheels that you interchange depending on commuting/racing etc. or you're going to spend a day in the mountains so you put on a compact chainring set (50/34) but you normally ride standard (53/39) you don't want to retire an item, but you also want to accurately measure usage on the non-dominate parts.
