Samsung Health sync issue

I am using Galaxy smartphone and have connected the Samsung health app to strava app. How to upload activities recorded in samsung health to strava? Can anyone guide please

    I have the exact same version of S Health and don't see the button. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled this and also checked the link in Strava and removed this and readded this several times.

    All have the same impact.

    I've also raised a support case with Samsung Health a week ago but no response yet.

    Are you having problems with auto recorded activities or with activities that you explicitly recorded? Auto recorded activities do't use GPS and don't collect other data. They don't give you the GPX export option. You should have the GPX export button on explicitly recorded activities.

  • I've seen that issue before and it was simply because when you started a walking activity for example they didn't wait for the location to be detected before starting recording. Once they did this the export option was available.
    Easiest way to check is in Samsung health is there a map of the walk or cycle or run

  • Kai I use my watch and s health to record every activity, not ther phone.

    I also wait for location to be locked before I go and i do see a map for each activity

  • My activities hadn't sync'd since before the 26th of October and to be honest i'd just about given up bothering with it.  For some reason i went into samsung health to have a look about and went to the connected services in settings and noticed it wasn't green against strava.  No idea why this was as i have never deactivated it.  Clicked on it and had to sign into strava again and do the authorize.  No sooner had i done this that 24 missing activities synch'd across.  What is going on.

  • I gave some time, since my last post. For me I could say that issue is fixed. I get the sync almost immediately I finish the activity. This happened for last 10 activities. At one point I got a message that SHealth cannot sync, in SHealth app, so I had to reconnect with Strava. Maybe that was the key point. Worth trying disconnecting and connecting again.

  • To be honest, I had already given up on getting things to work, but after seeing the message by Carl, I have checked the status of the connected services in SHealth and Strava and it was deactivated. After reactivating, all activities since like end of October got immediately synced.

    I (double-)checked the status of the connection several times before, in September and October, and it definitely was activated then, so seems the logout / deactivation has recently been forced.

    Glad to finally have issue resolved and thank you everyone involved.

    let me inform you:

    in the Samsung community this problem was discussed for a even long time. The problem seems to be fixed. Check out if you have installed the New Version of this Android-Service:

    This version of Samsung accessory service seems to keeps the data volume smaller and since I installed (2019/11/11), the sync between S-Health and STRAVA starts immediate after the end of recording.

    Still a little problem seems to be, that sometimes the connection between S-Health and STRAVA get lost and the dot behind the STRAVA sign in is getting grey. You have to sign in again and everything works.

    Also this problem is reported to the S-developer and I hope they will find the reason and fix it.

  • Do your Strava workouts only sync to S-health or do your S-health workouts also sync to Strava?

  • I haven't been able to get it to work yet. I just noticed that the Strava connection from S Health was disabled yesterday and re-enabled it. It still hasn't synced anything since I did that, though. Are there other instructions I need to follow?

    I am reinstalling the Wear app and resetting my watch right now. However, the problem seems not to be there or with com.samsung.accessory. It seems to be between the S Health app and Strava.

  • has anyone noticed that now this is syncing, the times that get uploaded to Strava (or Strava's interpretation of them) are wildly different from what is in Samsung health?

    Every km is about 25-30 seconds faster in Strava than what Samsung health holds and there is a big gap between moving time and elapsed time in Strava when there were no pauses/stops.

    Seems to be consistent with ever sync and I don't remember the discrepancy before sync was fixed
